@mslaerik66 He isn't threatening you, This man was a good man and tithing is an important thing to the church, it isn't Extortion, Its called being smart, that money doens't go towards buying fancy cars for the presidency, it goes towards helping those in need! Being "burned" insn't literal, it is simply saying that if you pay your tithing you will be blessed for it. I believe in the church and will always stand by it as long as its morals are true.

(2001 +7). His counsel in the face of such a problem here is to be financially wise + to keep the commandments. Sounds pretty self-explanatory to me. God is at the helm of the church...
