Man, I love Bob Barker! I miss his humor and old-fashioned wit. Too bad I was only 18 when he retired and only got to see him twice in the show's audience. If I was a little older, I would have gotten to see him a lot more.
It's much different when you're actually in the studio. I have been to the Price is Right audience numerous times, because I live in Los Angeles. All voices and studio sounds are recorded and broadcast clearly through the TV. But when you're really in there, the noises & cheers from the live audience really does cover up the announcer's/host's voices, as well as any music/bell ringing that may occur throughout the taping. What we see/hear during live tapings is WAY different than on the TV show.
