@door2yourheart when I first heard the version you played I dismessed the song but when I heard the longer version(1978) it made sense to me because most of the memorable lines are in the longer version.. I have the album but it is useless at this point. Another thing with Millie if you simply listen to just words you miss out on the musicianship. The band backing her is Muscle Shoals. Look them up since they are are R&B SOUL and white but backed Aretha Franklin & James Brown.

Yes, there is a longer version. The section your referring to would start at about 4:42 and end at the 5:00 mark. She talks about how men need to be "all the way lovers" and encourages them using KC & Sunshine Bands phrasing when she says "Get down, get down, get down..." She uses the phrase again after the 5:00 mark. If you could hear that version, the end of this one would make even more sense.
