I fully understand your grieve. My terrier girl was put to sleep few mths ago. My tears couldnt stop even till today. Grew up with me, always there for me giving me her silence support, giving me lots of courage to face life. They are not jus a dog, not jus a family member, many times they have bcome part of our very self, a one that we cant afford to lost n when lost, its like losing ourself.

i know how you feel my dog died to he may not have been young but still just because a dog attacked him doed not mean he had to be hit by a car wait let me refrase that it does not mean his neck had to be ran over with a car it is really hard 4 me cuz i am little and he was my baby boy that is why i named him b.b the really sad part is that i did not show him enough love and when he died in my arms that say i felt so stupid 4 not spending enough time with him:(

That is a wonderful video. Whoever 'Jack' belonged to, they are a person who really loved him. I can see it in the photographs.

Dog love is pure love. It's free of conditions and it never ends or diminishes. The feeling of loss does fade somewhat over time, but it it not hard to recapture. sometimes you need that to remember how much you really loved your dog while it was alive.

Sadly i had a cavalier called Ringo that died of inflated lungs and heart. We took him back to the breeders for his last days with his parents in December. We think he got some tick fever. ) : I'm sad without Ringo.

I understand your pain... I had to put mine to sleep 3 days ago and I was with her when the vet did. She was 14½ years old. She wasn`t just a dog,... she was my best friend and my family and I feel like this huge piece of my life is missing. I am so sorry for you loss. If only they could live as long as we do.

@TributesByGisele I just lost my 15 year old schnauzer Jake yesterday. I'm in so much pain. So many people don't understand the beautiful love that exits between a dog and his owner. I have been crying non stop. My younger schnauzer Lily knows he is gone too. I'm so glad i have my other dog with me. She is greiving too I can tell. Godd bless you. I lost a beloved Cairn terrier mix in January. Talking about his sweetness and admitting how much I miss him has helped me quite a bit. They only ask for three things from us: good food and clean water, companionship, and someone to make medical decisions for them and get them to the vet when they are sick. In return, they give us everything. How can you replace that?

I got a Rat Terrier in March and began obedience training. He's great - but it doesn't replace your loss. You have to move on and accept the fact that your friend's troubles are now over. My Cairn was special and so is this dog - because we love them.

I am so sorry my golden retriever died and I had him since i was a baby I miss him so much I know how u feel and right after he died my guinea pig died and I am so sorry for your loss I know how u feel

I'm very sorry for your loss. Serena has since adopted a border collie, and I am currently fostering a golden retriever. I too lost my sweet guinea pig just a few months ago. I hope you can move on and possibly find another pet that brings joy back into your heart.

Thank you so much I already found a kitty when she was six weeks old. We rescued her we found her on top of a car wheel at a car dealer and she was screeching so my step-dad reached under there and got her. Cats live for a long time so thats good:) I am going to get another golden possibly when I move but my new pets will never take the place of my loving pets my golden named Beethoven, and my guinea pig named Oreo and another guinea pig I got in first grade Scooter. Thank you for your sympathy.
