  • That is very good for a 161 lbs person in High School. When I was in High School I was about 140 lbs (6 feet), and could probably bench 185 lbs 3 times, but I can't remember. And now I am 45 yeard old, and about 165 lbs, but can only bench 185 lbs about 10 times on a strong day, fewer times on a weaker or average day.

  • @Sanjdhillon training is the only way man, im 16 too and i started out benching 175, then i lifted 3 times a week and 5 months later im up to 225, my friend is putting up 250 and he is 17 and he was only at 150 2 years ago, protien shakes help too but dont overdo that, if you wanna know more get at me

  • Benching 185 23times puts most likely puts his max over 300. id say between 315-325. i just know from experience going that high rep is really really tough. for instance my friends max is exactly 315 and i know he cant do 185 23times. probably somewhere between 17-20reps

    they need to push people who weight 230lb.

    170 for a fresh men is not that small. But by the time you get to senior year you would find that you need to hold your ground and push linemen who weight 200+ lb. and the little weight would not slow a decent linemen enouph to give you any kind of an advantage

    of course it depends one the competition. Just look up the weight of NFL defensive ends pretty much all 250+ lb.

  • @Crazylalalalala haha yeah i just need to keep hitting weights at the gym to get stronger i lift 5 days a week during offseason and 2 dayas a week during season to maintain muscle during the season.

  • if you enjoy playing football in that position and hope to play at some big school in college i would suggest putting in a lot of time and effort in the gym adding on some muscle doing the important lifts (in case you dont knw some the basics are Squats, Deadlift, cleans, shoulder press, bench press, latpulls...) and dont be one of them fags who just come in the gym do a few bicep curls and spends the rest of the time posing infront of the mirror and talking. bust your ass or get the fuck out.

  • The 100 pounds 100 times sucks after like 50 something. I think I got around 80. I couldnt do it but I only maxed out at 375. I'm sure plenty of guys with 400+ maxes could do it easy.

  • 80 is really beasting and trust me those guys that max out at 400+ can not even get past 50.... It really builds your overall strength and in the 4th qtr you will be the one making a difference
