  • Thanks you very much for all these great information and explanation.

  • Is whole grain cereal healthy to eat for breakfast?

  • Thanks for the awareness on what foods to aviod period.

  • hello. i would like to know if artificial nutrition is, or can ever be a healthy alternative to solid foods?

  • 209 Diaz

  • shit that's how I make most of my decisions...would a caveman rape this bitch...

  • you are so sexy!

  • What about the candy you buy by the pound? LOL... ;)

  • @heartcenter333 I think it's healthy, she said so!!! :D

  • I look at it this way: if it doesn't grow that way, then it isn't natural.

  • So wheat has been processed around 11,400 years at the very least. Same with Quina and other grasse, wheats, etc. Is that counted as a "whole" food?

  • Is your video about genetic obesity is already on You Tube or not yet?

  • you look good girl ;)

  • It's not genetics it is lifestyle the kids learn from parents-

  • Stick to farmer markets or even organic markets they have the best option of meats and produce.

  • You are so beautiful Corrina!

  • Whoever you are, I am asking you out on a date via YouTube!

  • Oh hey! Have you tried intellectus 424 diet (google it)? Ive heard some great things about it and my cooworker lost lots of weight with it.

  • Awesome information.

  • Many of the points are fair but off the point. You should point out some good processed food that is long lasting like white rice or rice, some low sugar cereal, oats, porridge which is the one cereal with less than the 10g/0.3 oz per 100g/3.5 oz that you need otherwise it is too high in sugar.

The ingredients are there 2 make it last long enough, if you want real food buy it from a farmers, market, online from a farmer. A major store like Walmart, I think is not going 2 be the same/as cheap

  • I know processed foods can be more unhealthy as they contain lots of 'e numbers', long list of stuff in it. But they exists because people are busy and want their food to last more than 1-2 days and you can keep it and it not go off and rot quickly.

The industry is filling a need to have stuff last longer as people don't spend time going to the market every day.

Some of the better processed food could be store veg as chemicals I think are added to keep it looking green and fresh too...

  • what about bananas? hahaha i see the chaqita banana commercial all the time and those are whole foods

  • @queenfrostine97 Ohh... you're right!! It's a general rule of thumb, but once in a while there are whole foods with some advertising. :D

  • ..great rack...

  • thanks Karina! ^_^ ♥♥♥

do you have a website or a twitter account?

  • @NiceAznBoy You can find me on facebook: Corrina Rachel Glad you liked it!

  • I like your definition of what is a processed foods and what is a whole foods and how you explain between the 2,great video.

  • I really like this video, you were great at conveying the differences between whole and processed foods, but didn't Natalie already make a video similar to this?

You both mention alot of the same points, but obviously, you're speaking on the same subject, lol. Nevertheless, you mention alot of noteworthy facts. Thank you!

  • Jack Lalanne would be proud of this video. =)

  • I can't stand how cute she is.

  • Do diets work? Do a video on that

  • @StMaule Thats a stupid question you could have just as asked does diet coke or pepsi.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrAtheist1984 No question is a stupid question. I want the facts. In psychetruth style/ point format. Thats better than some guy comming on TV who wants you to spend money on his product saying "Duh, diets don't work" with out giving any cridible info. (and the girls are cute too ;p)

  • Love your videos! always good stuff!

  • Your videos are amazing, your unbelievably intelligent and I fully support you and psychetruth. I am really glad there is something worth watching online.

  • Thank you for promoting healthy food.!

  • What is better 2% milk or homogenized? Thanks

  • What is better 2% milk or homogenized?

  • @psychetruth Thanks for the informations, Karina.

But how can we have whole food during winter ?

I know it's summer on the opposite side of earth, but it means it needs to travel a very long way, and everyone knows that natural food don't keep good that long, right ?

So could you explain what are the best options when every garden are freezed ?

    Thank you

  • Very helpful information. Thank you!

  • Great thoughts. The ingredient list was funny. It seems to go on endlessly. Best wishes.

  • Love the cucumber background. and the chick in front

  • Well done and nice display of the KISS method!!! xoxo

  • "Please [mum] can I have some more?"

  • Carena is the new Natalie ?

  • i heard everyyyy worddd

  • peanuts and cashews are a whole food, right!? Even if they come from the grocery aisle "salt-free" in a canister???

  • Thanks for uploading! Lots of good info on processed food awareness and knowing what we're putting in our bodies.

  • Who Cares?

  • damn girl where's your cleavage?

  • Yummy! Girls are processed foods!

  • In the Netherlands we used to have commercials for wholefoods, like "Milk, the white engine", or "Chicken, the most versatile piece of meat", or "eat wisely, eat an apple", "Bread (ok is processed food, but it's a basic), there's something in it". Here we have a foundation that's called the foodcentre and it supports healthy food with commercials.

  • @Pienvde Isn't pasteurized milk also considered "processed"?

  • @asalade

Yes, but the process are mainly to prevent/delay bacteria growth that might not be good for human consumption. It dose though cut down on some of the microbe life in milk. If the milk only lasts about a week I wouldnt worry to much. If it lasts longer or is not stored cold then its processed with conservation ingredients or similar. Most chocolate milk are like this.

Personally I think whole foods are great, but a 100% whole food diet isnt necessary, I think.

  • Love the video! Lots of information that was useful.

  • i can't look at his girl without envisioning having sex with her

  • Foods that dont go bad CANT be good for us

  • Part of the reason we so much big advertising campaigns behind processed foods is due to the low overhead (the money needed to spend before seeing a profit) These foods cost them nothing to make so then they spend millions, even billions, on marketing this junk.

  • hey you lost weight

  • Whole foods grow in the Earth. Processed foods don't. What's so difficult to understand?

  • 5 people from Monsanto saw this video.

  • hi! i was wondering if you could be alittle more specific about how bad or good processed foods are. say, how much sugar for this or that. try and include several ones that we all buy.scott

  • i get more energy out of natural food

  • just eat natural food. food from nature like fruits and veggies with little seafood on the side. avoid any and every wheat product such bread, pasta, cookies. whole wheat and/or white flour should be avoid. rice is ok but keep it to a minimum. avoid milk and egg. organic egg is good raw milk from farm animal is also good. don't eat industrialized meat product.

  • I also avoid anything with high fructose corn syrup.

  • I try to avoid anything with hydrogenated oils or artificial colors or flavors or preservatives.

  • its a bit sad that people dont know how to detect processed foods or a whole foods....

  • They didn't mention if rice and beans are "processed foods", even though most nutritiionists consider them healthy. A caveperson wouldn't have eaten them and wouldn't have cooked most things. Should we eat meat and eggs raw like cavepersons? Dairy is in the perimeter of the grocery, but it wasn't in primitive diets.

  • @giaofnature yeah, there was no agriculture during caveman times. so everything that is obtained by agriculture should also not be eaten according to that rule

  • 3 people eat MCDonald's

  • Thank you. I posted on facebook for my idiot friends.

  • This dirty bitch said that "Whole Food come from the dirt"

There nothing healthier than eating Whole Food, the rest is Monsanto food to feed the Borg like bitches like you.

  • I just wanted to send a quick "thank you" for doing what you do and helping spread knowledge that will lead to a healthier, more knowledgeable populace. So, thanks!

  • Excellent presentation. Enjoyable, informative, and Corina is visually pleasing.

  • serious people u should the difference between process and whole foods...bunch of dummies fat people

  • I love these videos!

  • I've noticed that the more cartoonish and silly the commercial is for a food, the worse it is for you... Its like their trying to make the food seem innocent and good for you..weird.

  • I dont know your name love so I'm just going to call you what we called the last one, Natalie. Or at least untill you correct me.

So natalie how do you rate things like tinned tuna (spring water or oil), they have incredibly short ingredient lists usually sunfloer/oil or water & salt & of course fish & not really any preservatives yet they are processed (cooked & tinned)

    How do they rate?

  • 2 Qs- spices, they last for like 3 to 4 years are they processed / and 2 cheese and butter are they as bad bad as processed foods ?

  • You have such an unusual, sexy mouth.

    Your bod is hot.

I want to see more leg, but that is just me...

Um...good vid. Thank you for the info!

  • Nice video. Keep up the good work.

  • usuallly is the word :-)

  • If that granny smith apple would have been replaced with lets say a giant peach cut in halve, then we would have been working with something reaaaaaaly special. lol

  • should have also quickly mentioned when buying whole foods to be careful of the "dirty dozen" that are most important to buy organic

  • Thanks so much Carina! I am getting married in about three months and moving out of my parents' house, so I'll finally be able to do my own shopping. I can't wait to start buying healthy, whole foods!

  • Eating a diet without any processed foods is just not possible for many people due to costs and time restraints. I work a mere 20 hours a week and still, most days I don't want to spend time making a full meal and if I NEVER purchased anything processed I'd be broke. I don't have a car or rent to pay, and no children. Still too expensive.

It's about moderation. Hit local farmers markets. If you need to eat processed, make sure it's as little as possible.

  • love the pix

  • Damn she is sexy.

  • you are lovely!

  • If you are looking for whole foods that will last for long periods of time, for emergencies or winter storage foods, dry your fruits and veggies as dried foods retain 95 percent of their nutritional value. Just reconstitute with water.Minimally processed is just as good as fresh in a pinch. Oh, and always eat organic.

  • @canadianmuslimnproud Most Canadians can barely afford fresh veggies, let alone organic, especially this time of year.

  • @hunthicks I do agree with you but I had said if you want to have food for long storage to dry them ...meaning when they are in season buy them then and dry them(when they are much cheaper). Always eat seasonal foods that's the way our bodies work better, and its cheap. Root veggies are traditionally eaten in Canada during the winter, and add those dried foods or minimally processed foods for variety. This is how Canadians ate before we all became chubby Oh and learn to cook , it is healthier.

  • That is "Whole Foods for Dummies" :) I am sure this is going to benefit many of us :) It is surprising how less informed we are about what we put in our mouth.

  • peanuts???

  • wow, has america gotten this dumb? some of the indicators "an unprocessed food looks like a round ball that orange in colour, its zesty and healthy"

  • how about tuna? it comes in a can...??

  • @sths2009 I'd say canned anything is not as good as fresh sea/waterborne food in general (or any other food). It's good long lasting survival food though, as an alternative to the fresh versions.

A lot of the heating, and liquids (or other substances, like chemicals added to the food or liquid) they store them in can have questionable effects. Not to mention, I've heard the cans lined in plastic (not all are, I've heard tin cans might not be too healthy either) could give off Bisphenol A (BPA).

  • well done, can you do one about real vitamins verses synthetic vitamins

Such as vitamin C (Real vitamin C) being different from Ascorbic Acid (Fake vitamin C that is mistaken for real vitamin C)

  • Please tell me more of this fake Vitamen C, chevytheplayer. I thought for along time ascorbic acid was just vitamen C by another name.

  • @SiliconBong

Well long story short I brought some vitamins at a "health" food store for the first time since forever. I get home, look at the bottle, then I start thinking "Wait why is there such a long name behind each vitamin" The I typed the names in and I found out that it wasn't a fancy "scientific" word for the vitamins. It was a synthetic "equivalent". This would be like finding out your health shake was really pepsi.

IF your vitamin is too cheap(10 dollars) to be true, then it is.

  • this american fitness guy said "if humans made it. don't eat it."

  • @happosai27 so you shouldn't eat carrots or bananas

  • @Tolstoievsky because these were domesticated by humans you mean? you know what he meant ;P

"human made" food like processed industrial food

  • @happosai27

Jack Lalanne said that. Hes a legend.

  • @H0tkebab ah yes. i couldn't remember the name. but thats not really an excuse if google is just a click away i guess

  • lentils last a long time

  • whole video i js got the meaning of processed food that can be say as a gradients food in js 2 or 3 second. . . LOL

  • Yummy! Girls are whole foods!

  • @Goliathgage88 hahahahahahahahaha....

  • @Goliathgage88 fuck you!

tell me, you eat the food or you eat the girls?

  • @maicongphuc Look, I apologize. I dont know where your from; but over here women get full service. Do you know what I'm talking about, because you seem reaaaaaally offended at the thought of being eaten. Its not that bad at all. I can provide you testimony from others just like yourself if you want. So do I pronounce your name as meganfuck or what? To answer your question: I EAT THE GIRLS!!! The nutritional value of vitamin P is questionable but rewarding none the less. Just let him do it!!!!!

  • @Goliathgage88 Some people haven't been eaten yet. :-P

  • Comment removed

  • Well, what about cheese? It's been around for a long time, but it seems pretty processed. I know that plastic cheese is processed, but what side do cheddar, mozzarella, etc. fall on?

  • @Jon166 Processed, but healthy enough for a diet that includes dairy. People have been eating cheeses for a long time, not that it's a best fit for all, and the quantities are often eaten in excess.

Processed meats, even jerky, can be fairly healthy if done right. Jerky also lasts a long time.

I've been off meat/dairy for over a year now, but that's no reason to not be willing to prepare, and understand the foods. I've eaten my fair share of junk food, meat/eggs, and dairy for one life.

  • @Jon166 I would eat anything I had to to survive (in a life or death situation), but while I have the choice, I will continue with what seems right for my body at that moment. Anyhow, I've gone way off track from your original question, hope some of that was worth the read, good day to you Jon166.

  • Great information. A lot of helpful tips and knowledge went into your presentation. But that steak burger did look good. lol

  • Is this just a joke or are americans just so dumb that they don't cnow what are whole foods?

  • Adderall, fluoride, aspartame, McDonalds, GMO's and High Fructose corn syrup... the American food pyramid!

  • @MrSpemat You forgot MSG

  • @Altois fuck! thanks for reminding me... just want to help our fine FDA and USDA make us all as healthy as possible...

  • @MrSpemat Well the best way to start is by informing the public. The FDA and USDA are supposed to watch out for our safety. It's about time we hold them accountable. Have you seen "Food Inc." by the way? it's one of the best documentaries I've ever seen.

  • Where is the Left Handed Facts Girl?

  • heyyy your back!. Cool video... I've started growing my own vegetables fruits.. Thank you for the inspiration. BTW keep them coming

    Much love from RI

  • Good information sweety, muchas gracias!

  • GREAT INFO, THANKS!!!!!

  • Great.

  • I've seen ads for frozen veggies, but that's about it, and I'd still consider that processed, and I'm not sure how much nutrition/life is lost from the freezing. They certainly taste very different from fresh produce.

As far as buying by the lb. it's not uncommon to find produce prepackaged for a certain weight, but there is often a risk of there being rotten bits in there, that you can't pick through as easily.

I really liked your presentation and the informative commentary. Will watch more.

  • cant wait for the next video love you guys!!!

  • This Presentation is for inner City Americans in particular, but ,truth be told, find it Interesting too. Thanks

  • great video looking forward to the next one

  • its sweet of you to make this vid.. but isnt all of this stuff really obvious??

  • @forevasweet1 i dont think a lot of americans know...there has been such a big dumbing down of america that its very possible for people not to know any better? think about it...majority of people run to get their diet coke or slim fast with their lean cuisine. none of them are actually doing raw foods anymore. also the price of raw foods can be pricey esp if they arent genetically modified.

  • @forevasweet1 Either many people in some regions don't know a lot of this, or don't care. They might not care because the people around them don't seem to care, or don't know why they should care.

Some people are so out of touch with themselves I would bet that they don't question why they are in the state they are in and seek answers to find a remedy. Instead people are often satisfied by being told that what they are experiencing is simply genetic, which can be the case (e.g. thyroid issues).

  • Kinda goes hand n hand with the dumbing down of America don't you think? I mean you have to make a video explaining what is processed and what isn't.

  • @jerami101 lol i know. here's a hint: whole food do not come in a wrapper. i'm just kidding though. i know that today the media pushes that each of us has to have a special product advertised just to us. like if you're a woman, you need the woman's razor to shave, for example. we start to get confused when we are faced with products that do not have advertising on them. i think the #1 problem is the tv: turn it off, it's seriously brainwashing! save money too!

  • @jerami101 absolutlely, they might come in BOX........ LOL

  • first
