GoW is a good game series and this game looks good too. They aren't meant to be the same. Their storylines are different. GoW deals with mythological gods/godesses. Greeks had one version of hell, Dante's version is much worse, Lucifer is like Zeus, thinking about power, not like Hades. Both heros have the same strenth, the difference is that Dante also fight against his sins.

Dante, in the original poem, is a philosopher/poet/politiciany person.

In this he's a crusader, more aware of his sins.

Either way, he's more epic than Kratos.

after watching the gameplay it looks like just a god of war knock off i mean just watch the way he looks and moves its like a wanna be kratos without the 2 blades and with a scythe true kratos didnt fight hades but he took on the sisters of fate and zues so i think kratos is a little more badass =P
