@Georgiominas1 Yes, I've practiced magic for over 30 years. I get results regularly. As far as magic being based on religion, you're at least half right. Most magic from ancient times was religious in nature. Over the years, several systems were developed that didn't have as much, or even ANY connection with deity or religion. I prefer the Bardon, hemetic system, myself, but I recommend Chaos Magic to those just trying to figure out if it works. Plenty of books for free online.

I think we all worship the same God...he has many names and is understood in different ways, but no matter what different religions call it, they all refer to the same God. So it's not important how you worship or what you call your worship, but the fact that you do worship. True prayer has no words or thoughts involved. If "magic(k)" had any effect whatsoever beyond the damage it causes to the believer's already fragile psyche, the likes of scientists (people who spend their entire lives actually investigating the properties of existence) would have already proven it, perfected it, and made use of it to a striking degree.
As the situation stands, the only people who claim magic(k)al abilities are the deficient, the hedonistic, and the insane, all of whom turn to it in desperation or in desire for attention.

As such, the definition of what a god is has been muddied and pushed further and further away from the natural world, to the point that "god" now somehow exists "outside reality", putting it safely outside the reach of evidence, experimentation, and criticism.

@Georgiominas1 Yes, I've practiced magic for over 30 years. I get results regularly. As far as magic being based on religion, you're at least half right. Most magic from ancient times was religious in nature. Over the years, several systems were developed that didn't have as much, or even ANY connection with deity or religion. I prefer the Bardon, hemetic system, myself, but I recommend Chaos Magic to those just trying to figure out if it works. Plenty of books for free online.

Want my proof? many cross references and research into magick and the occult in general. Books such as "Grimoire for the young wizard"(not really a good one but does have some nice info) and one of the most known books about magick "Modern Magick" shows and proves this. Also, consider the Pentagon building. Each sephira on the Tree of Life has an associated geometric construct. The pentagon is associated w/ Geburah, the 5th Sephira. It is the Sephira of Severity, the King on his war chariot, and it corresponds with Marz, the God of War. Look at an image of the Pentagon from above. Then look at the Kabbalistic Tree of Life & decide for yourself if this is a Kabbalistic design or not.
