  • yes a great town...i am from collepasso but i live in germany ...but i come every year to gallipoli...

  • hi i live in a village near gallipoli....it's a good place for holydays!!! see you next summer :)

  • there is 1 gellipoli i know of and it is located in Turkey. host of Anzac War. a legend land.. it is rly weird that there is another place with the same name.

  • Puglia italy :)

  • sorry to tell you that the italian gallipoli is the "original" one. in fact it has a longer history than the turkish town with the same name. it was founded by the messapians (of mixed Cretan-Illyrian origin) about 25-26 centuries ago (if i correctly remember) with the name "Anxa" and then colonised by the greeks who called it "Kale'Polis" and then "Kallipolis" (both meaning "beautiful city"). :-)

  • type gallipoli on google or wikipedia and see which 1 is more famous :=) Plus Our galipollis is very old too. IT goes as old as B.C . Turkish gallipoli was a Roman Catholic city in the passed before turks took it. Your gallipoli is beautiful too , no worries ;)

  • btw, italy realy looks like MEditerian Turkey. I think bnoth of them are mediterian culture and only difference should be religion, i assume. Gallipolu is just same like our south summer cities :p nice place
