I DONT NO WHY PEOPLE HAVE TO LEAVE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT BOXER'S... THEY ALREADY HAVE SLIMEY CRITICS DOIN THAT FOR THEM...ITS THERE JOB AND ITS A SPORT HATE IDIOTS LIKE THAT
Boxers in general are always making cocky comments so theres no point paying attention to any of that. I think he's a good prospect and I don't know why everyone seems to think he's boring, if he was in with someone trying to hit him back I reckon he'd be quite exciting. He's still making the transition to professional boxing but I think he'll improve as he fights better opponents. Needs to work on that defense though, got hit more than was necessary
he looks average and he's got a big mouth. hes slagging george groves off already. i think degale could do with a reality check id love to see groves put degale on his arse for slagging him off
I guess it's you. In fact, That's Mayweather's kind of guard, but that type of guard was not invented by Mayweather himself, it was indeed taught in gyms in USA several years ago: it was also used by James Toney and Roger Mayweather, for example.
He's trying to emulate Mayweather JR in this fight. Although i'm sure I have heard him say in interviews that he is trying to perfect his 'peek-a-boo' defense like Winky Wright. That's his best bet... He can play around with fighters of Morrisons caliber (no disrespect) but he should really concentrate on practicing on a solid defense which will be critical against the likes of a Pavlik etc.
This wasn't a bad performance, I like the way he goes to the body and then compses himself.
First of all Mayweathers and Winkys defense are totally different, Floyd rolls punches off his shoulders and he stands sideways, he uses his left forearem to cover his abs and holds his right more or less just under his chin so he can snap back with a counter right. Thats what James tried doing in this fight, although he has said before he's trying to adopt a 'peek a boo' style.
Either way I agree that taking punches to make a good fight is not 'cool'... that and defense is really underatted.
Theres nothing wrong with a bit of arrogance! All great champions have egos, i like it, shows they have confidence in themselves and there boxing abbilities
he hasn't had enough fights to be considered over rated.. he has only had 5 pro fights and still has a lot to learn.. and with the right trainer the kid could go far.. but he is an olympic gold medallist.. you dont get them just handed to you
ally morrison and james both kno how to fight james just have better talent and experience that's all

As I already said below, Mayweather jr. is not the only one to adopt that kind of defense.
DeGale is a good fighter and technically accurate. When he'll face tougher opponents, he will give more.
No reason to fight like a madman against Ally Morrison (no disrespect)... Morrison just needed some solid work and that's what DeGale gave him.
People always want to see blood and pulp faces, but that's not boxing, boxing is ALSO that but it's first of all a SPORT, and a job.
