I think all of us can respect that particular sniper for his behaviour, and hate him for his efficiency. They're human too. And the sooner people like tools1234 understand that we are as well, things can change.
see? they aren't all monsters. It's not about religion or politics. It's about this country vs. another. The sniper respected his enemy. The Marines respected him. It's not Arab Muslim vs. western Christian.
the US soldiers would never allow the enemy to remove their casualties on the battlefield. if they had a clear sight of insurgents removing their KIA they would have opened fire and shot them up without thinking twice.
Which only proves that some enemies do actually fight with dignity and respect. No matter how foolish you think it is, it's still respect to your enemy. And I admire that. And I'll be thinking about this for a long time. But I will not join the military until I have a clear mind and the mission is outlined by the Obama administration when he takes office.
Dont get me wrong, I admire that too, I have loads of respect for that insurgent, and I'll remeber it too, that's deff something you don't see every day. I just say foolish because I think that if the tables were turned the marines would have carried out their mission wich is to kill as many "insurgents" or "terrorists" as possible, and they would not allow them to remove their KIA of the battle field out of sheer respect like that.
of course we wouldn't let them pick up their dead during a fire fight, that is just stupid. Let them TRY to pick up the dead, we will just shoot them. Unless they are unarmed. But if they run out with a gun in their hand, their head is gonna get popped. Picking up the dead in battle is never a good idea.
Talented sniper... I have to admit..

this kind of respect is rather foolish.
the US soldiers would never allow the enemy to remove their casualties on the battlefield. if they had a clear sight of insurgents removing their KIA they would have opened fire and shot them up without thinking twice.
but the iraqi sniper didn't.
