@misterbeanladen In the Greek New Testament it is "Noe" in the Hebrew Old Testament it is "Noah", just as Isaiah in the Old Testament is Esaias.

Of course the translators of the English Bible knew it was the same person and COULD have chosen to just write "Noah" again, but their duty was to translate the words and transliterate the names accurately. So The man who's name is transliterated Noah in the Hebrew Old is transliterated Noe in from the Greek New testament.

I used to think I had this all figured out [how ignorant] but the more I learn the more confused I get. Strange but true. I don't understand ruling and reigning in a kingdom if there is no one to rule and reign over in said kingdom??

It's a human impulse to want to rule over other humans. Why would God condone that?

Jesus never did. He said the greater should SERVE the lesser, right?

Here in this verse you see even in ETERNITY we are said to "reign for ever and ever".

You don't need other people to reign over in order to reign over the earth do you?

See, it's pretty simple really, just gets confusing when we listen to preachers.

@ginaduffey Nobody, because they all die except for the elect and the elect are changed from mortal to immortal in the twinkling of an eye. So no mortal will be in the millennium at all.

By the same logic you just used let's look at another verse in the Bible:

Rev 22

"5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall *REIGN* for ever and ever." <-ETERNITY Reign over what then? The Kingdom my friend.

The elect will be raised from their graves at Jesus' return in a moment in the twinkling of an eye and those alive at that time shall be changed to immortal as well, having never been in the grave (their mortal bodies will essentially die...noBODY is getting out of the great trib ALIVE).

Those of the 2nd RES are the great multitude, of Rev 7.

The 3rd are the blasphemers of Rev 20:13-15

@Challagar I already answered your question. Those of the 1st resurrection are the elect, 144,000. "The rest of the dead" are resurrected at the END of the 1000 years, at the same time Satan is released. They are of the second resurrection.

It is from this group that you speak of. Some will also receive eternal life as well as the elect though.

Nice vid clarifying the scriptures. I would say that the rapture will occur after the tribulation period, in the day of the LORD when God saves the good and start judging the evil ( not the Judgement day- occuring after the Millenium kingdom) but the day when the Wrath of God is unleashed. The parable of the sower makes allusion to that.

A small curiosity that i have is: How can Satan deceive once again the mankind (not saved) on the battle with Gog and Magog when he is released?

"The rest of the dead" who lived not again until after the 1000 years were finished, are resurrected obviously at the end of the 1000 years as it says, and this is ALSO when Satan is released and then later is the Gog Magog war.

My point is; How could those who were duped by Satan (not saved) and ended in Hell (knowing that he was the source of death and their foe) join him again and don´t repent to the sovereignty of the LORD Jesus Christ? Perharps we don´t have the answer yet as centuries ago a christian could only wonder what would be Satan´s strategy that we see only now taking an obvious form.

THEN when the letter J was later used in the 1769 VERSION it was the correct choice because NAMES are TRANSLITERATED not translated for meaning, but rather to *sound the same* as close as possible.

At the time "J" didn't sound the way it does today.

It comes with the territory I suppose though. I have a tendency to stroke the fur the other way, and go against very common doctrines and go against the grain, so people tend to violently disagree as a knee jerk reaction.

That's why I try to be so clear and stick to the Scripture all of the time, but some people can't be reached it seems.

Ask yourself which two major events single-handedly wiped out the Church Age (Millennium)? It was the French and Russian Revolutions, which killed many millions of people, particularly Christians. One could argue that that is when Satan's short reign began and still continues today.

That hasn't happened, and the tribulation is before the millennium, and then to top it off, Jesus' return is also before the millennium and the elect live with Jesus on the earth after this HORRIBLE even terrible day of the LORD worse than the great flood when only 8 survived and they live as immortals, not mortal humans, so no. The common belief of Eastern Christians was that the Millenium or Church Age would end with a sudden explosion of Mystery religions (Pharisaic Judaism and Freemasonry) and mass apostasy would follow. Therefore, we would currently be in the time when Satan has been unleashed for a short time. Great tribulation will indeed still come.
