I really like how, well... just as an incidental note, Fakir is an Indian word for Father, and the music about the end sounds quite Indian.

You really do make some thoughtful videos. And the timing must have been difficult, since it's not very fast, making a lot of cuts wlll not fit with the tempo. Thanks. ^_^

u'r great in scene selection and liric matching (T-T) <- (tears of commoction) the song fits perfectly, but it's too slow in my opinion, maybe in this vid there is not a good timing, but the rest compares all!^^

I agree with DallasW05, this song does indeed scream Fakir. You put everything together very, very, VERY nicely. The lyrics fit the song and the character so well, it's utterly chilling. I hardly ever watch AMVs that "fit" as perfectly as this one. You totally conveyed the character of Fakir through this AMV. Excellent work! All I can say is, please continue to make great AMVs like this one.

and OMG my jaw just dropped at the 'chapter on god'. not only is it perfect because Drosselmeyer controls the story and thus has become a sort of twisted god, but also because you only showed a hint of him, almost a shadow, which conveys his presence so much more than if you had him in all of his glory. inside the tree being the 'promise of heaven', but being 'damned if he sees'. and i just love the feeling of the scene where he doesn't know where the pages lead.

and the 'loss' with an injured Ahiru and the 'ghost that refuses to die' with the ghost knight. at that point, i started seriously wondering if Sting had like, i dunno, seen princess tutu and decided that Fakir needed his own song. and the 'love' with ahiru miming love and when you showed the torn book with the ending a mystery, i just about went crazy. then the 'battles that nobody won' was perfect, as was the 'bitter defeat'.

and the blood of the knife part, and the sorrow, and i liked how the part with Rapunzel and the wandering maze and Ahiru gets sucked into Drosselmeyer's world. and he's "forced to remember" his fate to die in vain, and i started biting my knuckes at the 'promises broken and promises kept' with Ahiru and Fakir at the bottom of the lake of despair. and the 'chapter of secrets' when he found out her secret

As always, Shiirahime, your videos continue to stun me. but this video is particularily excellent. I seriously got shivers. watching the way you matched up the lyrics to the video is amazing. i honestly didn't know there was a song out there that SO PERFECTLY matched Fakir (and by Sting! Sting rocks my socks! XD even though this song is a bit slow for my tastes. wheeee!!) the firelight flickering with the pages, and how he seems afraid to write for fear of the consequences.

This is one of the best AMVs I've ever seen in regard to the match between the lyrics and the scenes, and especially the theme (I doubt there's a song out there to bring a better tribute to Fakir) I love it so much that I watch it at least twice a day (every day) - I'm not kidding! VERY good job!

Maybe so, but I'll save playing with effects until I do a more upbeat song (I prefer slower songs without the flashes, etc, unless the music calls for it). Like the next one I have planned.

I've got plenty of time to improve, I hope. These are only my first two.

I would, but they screw up the Movie Maker playback option. So when I use effects and stuff, the way it plays on Movie Maker is different from the way the movie actually plays when it's done (in other words, it screws up the timing...horribly. And I put a lot of work into that, so it's disapponting to see that go to waste). I may actually not bother with effects or use very little until that can be fixed.
