The artist is Rob Dougan or Rob D. The name of the song is Clubbed to Death, which there is many versions of it which you can from the Movie The Matrix. I've looked around to purchase this version of music but it is not available. If you want to hear his other version of it , you can find it on his album "Furious Angels" Cd
There is a clearer version of this commercial at the creator's website. Search for gdtfilms co uk and under "Classics" you will find Lincoln (Surprising Journey). This version is done in sepiatone.
I just saw this on an old (crummy quality) VHS tape I was recording onto my computer, and I was totally blown away. x The music and visuals are amazing.
badass commercial/car. i took one for a spin after my buddy bought one; it was awe inspiring to say the least. handled, rode, and performed on par with bmws and audis in my opinion.
I always liked this commercial, especially the music. I have it on some old VHS tapes along with some other commercials and stuff from that period...Thanks for posting it!
Yes- Best Car commercial ever. Loved it so much I bought a LS. Love the car. Too bad Lincoln does not make it anymore, but it makes my car even that more special. Thanks for the post.
Thank you so much for the kind words, I found this on youtube, my dad made this commercial and I even have the "ATX" train model featured in the video which was made for the filming of this commercial. It was filmed over in England, I traveled over there in the late 90's with my mom when he was working on the commercial. I'm glad you liked it so much.
Tell your dad that he's an amazing man. Does he happen to have a copy of the Rob Dougan remix used in the ad? It was never officially released in this form. It was an altered form of "Clubed to Death II" but the one on the released CD is inferior to the commercial. I'd be willing to pay for it.
Such a better commerical than the new "Starships Don't Need Keys" nonsense. Just when Lincoln was pulling even with foreign luxury cars they refused to pair the 5-speed with the V8, then uglied up the LS's interior, and then dropped the LS altogether. Instead of building on a good thing and trying to perfect ti, seems like Lincoln *wanted* to give up and fall back on cheese instead.
Best ad ever! I remember seeing the short version on TV years ago when I was in my mid-teens. My mouth literally was open the whole time. I will never forget the camera work or music. Few things have left such a big impression on me.
Commercial is actually called "Surprising Journey". I wouldn't know this, but the song from the commercial was custom made by Rob Dougan, a composer I learned about and became an avid fan because of watching this. I own all his albums.
Umm.he only has 1 album.....Furious Angels.....which came out a couple years or so before the double disc version (2nd being instrumentals of the first) came out in the states. Supposedly there's a new album in the works....I hope so. He had a demo track I heard 30 seconds of called "Hang On".....God it was awesome. I hope he's tweaked that track or something for the next album.
The remix is very similar to the original ("clubbed to death 2"), so find that track if you like this music. If you can't find it then send me a message and I might be able to give it to you.
anyone know if the music for this commercial was ever a real track? i found somewhere it was only created for the commercial... best commercial ive seen so far.
Why the V8 never had a manual option is beyond me...

@emusnoc Actually, the song is called "Club To Death 2," which is not on the Matrix Sountrack (but part one of "Club to Death" is).

Really lame that Lincoln neglected this car for so many years. It was a solidly built, fun to drive sedan.

The music was for the commercial only. I think. But mayebe there will be it in the next Rob Dougan's Album.

the soundtrack to this commercial is a remixed version of 'clubbed to death 2' by rob dougan.

This is the best version of clubbed to death 2, I'd pay good money to get this as a single.
Too bad it was just for this commercial, though I once remember hearing it coming from a store.
