Have you ever considered picking up and open back banjo? This is totally my opinion, but I've always considered frailing to sound kind of bizarre on a resonator banjo.

I have played them, and i do like them for frailing. I like the sound both.

Thanks! I don't play ukulele, so i'm not sure. I do know that if your heart is in it, you can learn any instrument you want. Good luck w/ it!
