Civil disobedience, violent insurrection are the only options left. "Voting" is a farce, destroy this JUNTA, and re-establish a constitutional republic.
Voting is meaningless UNTIL Americans demand a "One man,One vote system." and "GET HIP" to what's really going on in this country.

Democracy in these countries is based on cronyism. Proportional Representation is not part of electoral reform in these countries it's "winner take all" so there is no representation in any level of government.
How do you expect to hear young peoples' grievances or ideas if the election process is slanted from the start?
How is it slanted. Sure it isn't a popular vote system, but that doesn't mean your vote doesn't count. Now I only know about the U.S., but look at it. One state gets a certain number of votes based on its population. The way those points go depends on who wins the popular vote in a given state. Every vote matters, contrary to popular opinion, that's why people should vote.
i still cant believe that its not compulsory to vote in the states. is this even considered? imo for there to be a true democracy, voting should be mandatory.

Our nation is in crisis unlike anytime in the memory of anyone alive. Young people are the best hope to save the U.S. by protecting the Constitution that Bush/Cheney are subverting. THERE IS HOPE-Kucinich is the only candidate who: Opposed the war from the start, believes that free universal health-care and higher-education are what every American deserves, had the guts to stand to a hostile congress and call the V.P. exactly what he is - a criminal - by bringing up articles of impeachment.
You are EXTREMELY wrong! The constitution is fine. Kucinich is a cook and a traitor! There is no such thing as FREE...especially when it comes to health-care. If you don't mind waiting (sometimes even dying) before getting medical attention, then move to Canada (which I left for that reason) and let the rest of us enjoy the services we pay for!
And while im having a conversation with myself on this issue, seeing as how no one else has commented i will also say this...to myself. Politicians have a habit of bringing their ego to the issues and we see right through this crap. When the system adjusts the youth will care.
One of the biggest problems, in my opinion, that is leading to voter apathy in younger generations has to do with how politics are presented in the mainstream media. Elections are made into Yes and No yelling matches based on complex issues that require much more than a yes or no question. When a politician refuses to make one of two trendy, binary statements they are ridiculed for being weak and non-committal with the issues.
