  • Snake. The terrorists have put a bomb on a bus that will explode if it goes below 50mph.

Your mission is to infiltrate that bus and rescue the DARPA chief and Armstech president.

  • If you take the time, you can see that all the work from Kojima are basicly rip off from movies...he just takes stuff from left to right and form something that he calls is own

fucking douche bag....well....a lot of the konami classic are rip off from left to righ

  • MIND = FUCKED

  • U have to be a dumbass to not notice it.

  • I throw on Speed, 2 mins into the intro creds I think "OMG MGS music!? I hope people online agree with me" and a quick google search led me here : )

  • They literally barely sound the same...

  • @bAnGeDcLiEnT1 It's the chase and alert music that is very similar. Thousands of people say it.

  • An excellent mash-up, i always think they were similars and i saw Speed again on tv today, and find your coment in Imdb, good work!!!

  • Dennis Hopper would have made one HELL of a Revolver Ocelot

  • Hmm Kojima must like Speed, or at least the composer did.

  • Having just re-watched Speed I immediatley had this exact same thought.

    Nice vid

  • Thanks a lot for the compliment. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • I saw this over a YEAR ago and loved it then and still do ! !

  • interesting. i don't find the two themes that similar, just that they use similar musical techniques.

Still, it is plausible that the composer for mgs was influenced by speed soundtrack since it has turned out that same composer used the riff of a russian composer's song for the main theme of the game and also since Speed is one of Kojima's favorite action films.

  • @solidkwon Listen to all the music for all the MGS games, the composer is a total rip off of Hans Zimmer who did Speed etc. He seems to like his style a bit too much,.

  • @ojideagu sir, you are a fool, Hanz Zimmer did not compise the music to Speed, Mark Mancina did, although Hans Zimmer is an excellent composer - right should be right!!

  • @jarod186 Their styles are pretty much the same, both using electronic sounds mixed with orchestra's.

  • @ojideagu right you are but still right should still be right! :)

  • Good mash-up bro.

But FYI, the first MGS wasn't composed by Harry. he started working on the series from MGS2.

  • Thanks for the compliment.

Yeah, I knew Harry started on Sons of Liberty. I always thought the version of the main theme from MGS1 sounded the most like Speed, I only used MGS2 footage in this video because it was easily accessible. Thanks again for the compliment!

  • I always thought they were similar.

  • why do you use so many "Sons of Liberty" images, better use images from the original MGS

  • I liked that. Very good mash up between the two. I especially like the transitions between the two.

  • Thanks a lot, I am glad you enjoyed it.

  • yea amazing work dude good film speed but metal gear is the best

  • Thank you, I really appreciate the positive feedback!

  • Good comparison video.

  • Thanks a lot!
