fuck these piecee of shit, crossovers are nothing more than ugly, shitty vehicles that are taking over, killing off the regular, tough SUV, i hate crossovers with a passion and will never buy one, when i get my 96' Tahoe LT, i'm going to ram these pieces of shit off the road!!!!!!!
The journey is a lemon my mom has an 09 and she had to have the engine rebuilt after 1 year then she had to have her rockerbar replaced n now her power windows locks n ignition r going out I stongly recomend that nobody should buy a journey their junk.
My 2008 dodge journey has been in the workshop since 16-2-2011 waiting for a new gearbox its only done 29500 miles @ 20,000 miles it needed new pads & 2 new tyers.Had 3 estamated arrival times since feb on the box, still waiting its now 20-5-2011 thats 94 days since it went in.Chysler customer service have stopped ringing me now, the guy said i was getting to upset because it was the same old story [ NOT IN YET SIR] who would'nt be upset ?
2:14 You have to be kidding me...hidden? Are you fucking stupid? every suv made has an electrical release button its been around at least since 2009. where else would it be! goddamn
it has nothing to do with american , japanese or german.I want to buy a reliable car from a company that takes responsibilty for the product they put out on the market. For far too long these people have been fucking us with mediocre cars.I have bought a gm and it was an awful car,I've had Honda and it's been just ok.
i checked the forums and it seems that this model has major transmission problems and the brakes tend to get used up real fast. Also a lot of people complain about the dodge service when you bring it in for these problems
@AreUBlem the choice is yours but actually I think you should try the Honda Cr-v. It is a great cuv with great gas mileage, smooth but sporty ride, And highest resale value in it's class. low cost of ownership to. But if you have to choose between the rav4 and the dodge go with the rav4.
This vehicle is a great price for the features, the interior is not rough and feels very solid. I bought my wife a 2009 Dodge Journey with the V6 and AWD. The vehicle drives very well and got 29 mpg from Southern Michigan to Northern Wisconsin 500+ miles on one tank of gas with 90 miles to spare. I would not recommend the chrome rims though, I opted for the aluminum because the chrome Chrysler rims have a tendency to flake.
my mom bought this vehicle and its great. we loaded our se with our own things, and i love everything about the car. if u dont know it, dont judge it!!
If you paid any kind of money for this, you got robbed. Owners trying to "defend" this vehicle aren't fooling anybody. I have never driven such a badly designed vehicle. And people wonder why Chrysler went bankrupt.
@a176 whoa woad man me and my family just took an 800 mile trip in this car and it was just fine i didn't have a complaint now who is gonna know more a person who is judging it or a person that took an 800 mile trip in it?
@a176 Well, my aunt just bought one today and my cousin has owned one since they came out last yr in 09. Not a problem with my cusins. She goes back and forth to college evryday. Drove it to New York Last month (we live in Tennessee). SO it is a good SUV. I plan to buy one soon. And we owners aren't trying to "defend" it. We are stating the truth. Until you buy one and own it, then don't post on YOutube about it being crap.
@mrlovetodrive Thank you! I see so much Chrysler bashing on here. They are trying their best to improve their product line. Being in rough financial shape and having non-committed investors has taken it's toll on them. I personally love their styling and grew up with their products. They have excellent pricing as well...some great deals to be had. Even the professional critics knit pick and over criticize in my opinion. You have to judge for yourself...like you said, buy one first then judge.
well, you gotta leave those people alone, when they say something that make no sense. you already know they just don't like the name. For those who has no idea, The chassis platform is the same with Mitsubishi vehicles. The 2.4 is the GEMA, same block they used in Mitsubishi. I heard so many hatre against domestic brand, but they just shooting their own foot
Death trap? This vehicle is one of 27 with a top safety pick from the IIHS. Toyota didn't get on that list. Chrysler/Dodge makes great affordable vehicles with impressive styling and great safety ratings. I'm sorry but in the same class look at Rav4, CRV, Escape they fall short on styling. Maybe they need to invest more in small engines but with the merge with Fiat it looks like they are working on it. All I'm saying is that ppl should give it a chance.
@AreUBlem Not about me or you buddy. Its about the car. Dodge makes a solid, safe, stylish and reliable vehicle. Period. Look it up. Go try one. They are just as good if not better than Toyota. If that bothers you, don't take it up with me. Take it up with Dodge. Also, theres no need to be offensive on here. Could be young kids reading this I don't think you'd like your children reading the kind of comments you posted. Consider that.
This car is horrible and a death trap. To read my issues please check this link. I almost got hit because of transmission issues and still not corrected. DEATH TRAP.
The Journey got a recent design uplift for 2011, and I don't think it's got that slanted shifter on the transmission. In addition, the current V-6 is the new Pentastar with 283-hp. Finally, I think the folks at Chrysler are putting their best feet forward.
i recommend gettin the V6, the four cylinder isnt much more fuel efficient, makes alot of noise too. Both are great tho upto you, just a recommendation from experience with this car.
It looks nice exterior wise, but why crowed that third row, it has one of the worst third row room in it's class, and the interior design is so cheap looking, all of chrysler's cars.
better than no third row at all tho. comes in handy, not that bad, the 2nd row nicely folds forward with one button, doors open 90 degrees, really easy to bet in
The New Dodge Journey is a car I would recommend to potential SUV buyers. It has nice solid seats, a clean center console, and smooth green instrument lighting. It is well put together and has a good suspension system. Dependable car!!!
This is why Chrysler is bankrupt... a cooler in the glovebox? Really Chrysler? You couldn'tve spent that time developing something that doesn't suck ass?
@stopxthisxfall You have a real hate on for Chryslers. I don't know where it comes from but it's tiring. You're so far off it should be funny but it's not. I own a loaded SXT and it has been both reliable and a joy to drive and own. Get your head out of your a** and grow up.
@wmralder Enjoy your initial quality. Also, enjoy sitting at the service department constantly after you pass 50k mi. I'll just roll in my vehicle that has a flawless service history and non-plastic parts.
Was shopping an AWD SXT. Went with a 2008 Pathfinder S instead; 2x towing capacity and gobs more power. Also needed more room behind the 3rd row. Glad I went with the Nissan, although we still love our 07 Caliber R/T AWD
that will shy away many would be buyers coz there are many others and way lot nicer choices in that category and that includes the 2010 Benz GLK. Is dodge crazy or what? They need to recover, they are expediting their way to disaster.
I jsut got this, the AWD SXT with moon roof and backup camera + 7 inch touch screen is great priced, I recommend this to people who want higher class stuff but cheapness
