  • thank you i have always wanted to learn this but got frustrated at the picking pattern and you tamed it very well for me. to hell with the naysayers they have nothing to do but put people down because there life is so pathetic they have to put other people down to mae them fell good

  • Well, sorry my friend, but it's wrong. You play very good but you said it wrong. I even wrote it on a piece of paper and tried to play in order given in the film. That's not it :) First four is correct and than you messed something up. You're probably not a fantastic teacher. Great play, though.

  • very good very clean instruction thanks man

  • Please see if I am struming and doing the cords correctly in the video in my profile.

I just know to play a few songs on the guitar and 'The Boxer' is the one I playthe most.

  • @GUITARFYI PLUCKING THE BOXER... <<+++ R U CRAZY MAN???.. I CAN SEE YOU NOW PLUCKING: C Edwards , MIKE TYSON, BUTTERBEAN, SUGGA RAY LEONARD and gettinG your face beaten in,,, PLEASE DO NOT PLUCK ANYONE WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION..

  • Thanks for your reply, could you please do a video lesson of how to strum this song verses and chorus? I love the version Lee Dewyze did on American Idol. It is on you tube as well. It is a beautiful song,I would appreciate the video. Thanks.

  • Hi awesome video, can you tell me is there strumming for the verses as well as the fingerpicking way? and on the chorus what is the strumming pattern as in D UD UDU like that, could you please tell me. Thanks.

  • @daza152 Good question, Theere is strumming also. It is pick 5th string then Strum one Down (D) and one up (U) then repeat but Pick 6th string instead of 5th etc as follows:

5th du 6th du throughout the song. Vary the 5th and 6th depending on which chord you are playing IE switch to picking 4th and 5th string for the chord of D.
