These guys working do way more for society than you two ass wipes do. The 99% don't know what they are protesting or what the fuck they are talking about. You guys are a joke.... lol
Yes everybody pays the taxes u speak of but a huge percentage pay those taxes with money given to them by the govt dipshit,so theyre not technically paying shit and those college kids on wall street are far from being a "Hipster" more like socialist marxist hippies
These figures have been validated by the CBO. They 47% who do not pay federal income tax are the ones to receive enough deductions to actually RECEIVE money vice paying into or breaking even. This hack job needs to learn how to do research, not just run his mouth. Supreme dislike.
and who destroyed the housing market perhaps democrats who forced fannie and freddie to give loans to poor people? perhaps healthcare is high because we pay for illegals and poor people
The fact is that 47 percent don't pay ANY Federal taxes, while everyone else do plus all other taxes that the 47 percent pay. So, until the 47 percent pay their Federal taxes, and stop whining about what the rich earns in revenue, and pays in taxes, you don't know what you are talking about.
I don't know why some think the protesters are "lazy hippies". That is not true, most of these people are hard working, tax paying U.S. citizens. This movement is not about entitlement, it is about equality. The super rich are greedy, and gave themselves bonuses, etc. from gov't bailout money. They are responsible for lower wages, and higher costs. Even if we are working our butts off, we still are struggling to put food on the table. That is what I am mad about. I should be able to eat!
if these idiots actually put this much effort into finding a job or actually working they would have time or need to bitch. they only speak for themselves period. how dare they claim to represent 99%. lazy pukes
this host is a moron. The 53% are the ones who aren't bitching in the street about how it's someone else's fault they have hard times. You fucking moron
@LyleLongTV The 53% are too dumb to realize what the banks are doing, an ignorant slave with the illusion of freedom is a happy slave. IGNORACE IS STRENGTH.
@LyleLongTV the 53% are unspeakable morons. WHY DON'T YOU DO ANY RESEARCH OR JUST LISTEN TO THIS PERSON. NEWS: The '53%' garner nothing but contempt from the 1% and 99% you know why? cause you're complacent workhorse slaves who are addicted to blind faith cause you don't have the balls to take your destiny into your own hands. GO TO HELL YOU PATHETIC LITTLE COWARD!
@MrAirandfire that same slave mentality and blind faith is equally applicable to how you lap up everything these men are saying. As well, speaking of taking destiny into your own hands - that's exactly what those who aren't sitting on their asses on wall street are doing - working hard, and placing their future in their own hands, instead of whining and putting all the blame on others. Take responsibility for yourselves and solve your own fucking problems.
@jewishchristian "There are none so hoplelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free" go chew some more hay you fucking stupid farm animal.
@MrAirandfire these people are socialist wannabes. They want everything handed to them for doing nothing. They think they are owed a living just because they were born in America. Guess what life is hard and freedom means you have the right to create your own living not have it given to you like these pukes want. Just because someone is successful doesn't mean they owe you anything. Everyone has the right to be successful but it takes actual work, not blaming others for their misfortune
@LyleLongTV amen. people need to stop and think about what the objectives and goals of the occupy movement really are. oh wait. they don't have any. I'm from Vancouver, and our municipal government is actually SUPPORTING the 50-100 people camping out outside our art gallery. My government is spending my tax dollars to put up portable washrooms and other utilities to support these people. How is that an effective use of the money that apparently I don't have anyway?
The 53% movement is just another form of class warfare just like liberals using class warfare to say all capitalism is bad. No. There are certain corporations that are colluding with the government and lobbying them to get tax breaks, subsidies, etc. Those are the bad aspects, while good capitalism is mom and pop shops, or those who produce in the U.S. So the class warfare game is played on both sides.
Exactly! Erik Erickson is shilling for the Koch brothers. Each of these letters has a lot of the usual self aggrandizing nausea in it (I'm a hero because I work hard and you don't blah blah waaah waah). The part that smells though is that they want us to give Wall Street a free pass for their past and continued and future criminality, continue to give them taxpayer money. This is so clearly an attempt at divide and conquer
Directly, David is correct, in that the 99% movement won't make a difference. Indirectly, however is where the major part of this will change things: What I'm referring to is all of the resident zombies out there who sit on their couches and listen to the propaganda on TV and treat it like gospel. The more attention the 99% movement gets, the more zombies out there might just WAKE UP!!!
If enough people were to WAKE UP, Corporations would be threatened.
David makes some good points. I believe that the corporate elites and powerful bankers have mislead hardworking American into believing Wall Street is the standard bearer of free-market capitalism... when in fact middle-class entrepreneurs and small businesses SHOULD be the backbone of capitalism.
I largely support Occupy Wall Street but i also sympathize with the so-called "53%" because middle-class TAXPAYERS are the biggest losers in this system of bailout economics and finance manipulation.
I think one of the things we can do is follow the Tea Party example and run our own people as candidates all over the place. We need to constantly build support in order to get them elected, so at the very least we will be seen as a threat to every person in office. The Tea Party threatened every Republican with a primary if they didn't fall in line, which worked, and we need to do the same.
...not to mention, some of these '53%'ers at some point probably have used a social safety net, or benefitted from a program that supported the people, in order to get where they are. Now they want to deny that to those coming now for whom those resources are threatened?/ I want to know how many of these people had food stamps at some point, stafford loans, or even welfare. Hmmm???
If we focus on particular corporations, with specific demands, and back those demands up with a refusal to buy their products or services by the key demograghic for that product or service we can quickly affect change. Look at beauty products as a classic example, a dedicated group demanded no animal testing, and it happened. Or more recently the netflix controversy.
The "American Dream" isn't getting filthy rich Dave.
Traditionally the "American Dream" is owning your own home, a car and a chicken in the stew pot. There is also a hope that your kids would have a better life.
I think at the heart of this is that republicans cant admit they are wrong ever, If they admit that something else is correct of that something isnt working they have to admit they are wrong and alot like there faith they get into crazy logical twists just so they dont have to admit that something is wrong/ not logical.
You always hear the adhomin line of "You were wrong on x so y is wrong too" repubs can not admit that they were wrong and progressives were right.
STOP TRYING TO CHANGE THE AGENDA WE ARE THE 99 PERCENT, AND THATS WHAT IT EQUALS TOO. IF REVOLUTION DOES TAKE PLACE THE SO CALLED 53 PERCENT WONT HAVE A JOB, BECAUSE THERE WILL BE RIOTS
but there is a difference to tax no income versus tax income, so although people with no income pay no taxes the opposite is those with huge some of incomes do not pay taxes....
tough call because part of the lower class "tax bracket" does not pay taxes just like the upper class "tax bracket"...that is more or less federal and state taxes...not sales and etc....
People would have to give up consumerism for a while. They would also have to refuse to take out any loans with these banks along with not using these bank's credit cards. Buying physical silver would expose JPMorgan Chase for their fake silver certificates and cost JPMorgan Chase dearly. Physical silver will be running out in about 10 years. This will cause a comex/lbma default, the darlings of JPMorgan Chase. SLV is not real silver. There are 100 certificates for each unit of real silver.
That description of the American dream is also an exact parallel of why poor slaveless whites fought to defend slavery and the Confederacy, because they thought, maybe one day, they too could be rich plantation owners.
@enlightenedone676 it shows that you didnt listen to jonny paulas vlog about how people where winning hundred thousands of dollars from playing the lottery on a certain date in MA
@kazooga1234 Thanks for proving my point that people expect to be playing a fair game when a select few exploit a system that's supposed to be fair. You're not talking about the American Dream, you're talking about the American Game: Monopoly.
@enlightenedone676 ya and its only the ones who are rich that can even win that money so we need to find a way to make it so the poor have a chance at getting rich as well and MA new about the loophole as well they just got more money then the lottery gave out so the state didnt/doesnt care
@jimbobubbadj its possible for anybody to win just more likely on a certain day if you put 100,000 dollars in on that certain day that you will make twice that much or more
