  • Nostalgia. This is the game that made me a Liverpool fan. I remember watching it as a kid back in the day. YNWA

  • Wow great video, thnx for this. Some semi-final and replay I gather.

  • Looks like Liverpool were playing football, while United were route-1 cloggers back then.

  • Great pitch.

  • why are both teams in there away strip?

  • @reddan73 The FA used to have a rule for the semis and final of the FA Cup which stated that both teams should wear their away kit in the case of a colour clash (unless alternative arrangements could have been made). Other examples include West Ham v Arsenal (1980 final) and QPR v Spurs (1982 final).

  • @chesneyincognito It's worth noting that the all yellow kit was actually Liverpool's THIRD choice at the time. Their away colours were white-black-white - same as Manchester United.

    Strange business.

  • fuck you.I`m away to post a picture of the referee in a Liverpool shirt on my twitter page

  • you dont happen to have the replay do you, great vid btw

  • @Foolishk1ng Irritatingly not. An hour long ESPN Classic programme, they show this and not the replay. Anyway, Sunstroker has kindly posted it below. Enjoy!

  • Liverpool got the usual dodgy penalty

  • @alnwickist fuck off :)

  • Great semi

Especially with us winning the replay

  • Wicked footage. Was on the edge of my seat. One fashion note - the hair's gotten (mostly) shorter, while the shorts have gotten longer. lol
