  • Yes lets all whisper....

  • Earl Strickland has won 5 (FIVE) US Open 9 Ball Championships to-date...

Mike Sigel has won 3 (THREE)...

Nick Varner, Mika Immonen, Daryl Appleton have won two...

Efren Reyes has won 1 (ONE)...

Nick Varner has won world titles in all major disciplines... banks, one-pocket, straight-pool, 8-ball, and 9-ball...

It is my understanding that nobody else to-date has accomplished this but Nick Varner...

  • lol the guy's voice whos talking sounds like herbert the pervert from family guy.

    ugh dumbass americans.

  • @sothatswhathapppened lol foreign perverts, go screw a ten yr old call girl.....third world freaks

  • @sothatswhathapppened dude, in ur comment below u said the guy here talking sounds like herb the perv.....but obviously u were biting the other guys comm.,cause when i made a reference to it, u were lost.....aaaaaah, i LOVE USA,

  • @sothatswhathapppened and....fyi...what you even talking? is not a complete sentence, u imbecile....dumbass americans? lol, i bet u would give ur moms last turban for citizenship, 3rd world skum, cant leave the slum, fuck u and your people, pussy boy...GODbless the USA:-)

  • @nae8man87 you spelt about 30% of what you said right. I guess that's an improvement for americans.

  • I'm as good as efren reyes.. How come I'm not known? :(

  • @lilcrazyaznboy You're not as good as him. Trust me.

  • who won this match

  • Fucking yanks calling it english... it sounds retarded.

  • @retepvosnul lol don't cry about different terminology. there's different terminology for many many words all around the world, don't be a freak

  • I wish you had the whole match!

  • Who's announcing?

  • @jewturna billy incardona and johnny archer

  • @Carlosgtrsnk thanks, i thought that was archer.

  • is this a fucking bar table?

  • @dallaskennels It's a slow table but it's a brunswick. Looks pretty nice IMO, but it could use faster cloth.

  • Really good commentary.

  • hi guys can anyone help with a website that explains potting theories and aiming methods :(

  • his stroke is so beautiful

  • @reneperez50 thats what she said

  • This was the year Reyes won the U.S Open!

  • I don't understand this type of pool game can someone inform me of the rules? I only know 8 ball pool.

  • @Holdyen nine ball is nine balls. you must shoot in order from lowest to highest. 9 ball is the game winner. so if you hit the one ball into the nine and make it. you win that game. or if you make the nine on the break. you must hit the balls in order if you dont its a foul and gives you ball in hand. ball in hand means you can place the cue ball anywhere on the table. you do not have to call the pocket that you intend on making. on some pro matches you have to call the nine ball.

  • @Holdyen not all nine ball matches you have to call the nine ball though. most of the time you dont have to

  • varner was the shit back in the day

  • hmm, efren let himself go over the years

  • i'm good at pool. i can draw the object ball.

  • @ikawpipa couldnt that be said for anyone who can draw the ball

  • really, i can also draw the table and chairs. pls believe me.

  • What people fail to acknowledge is that pool is an individual game. Arguing about whether Strickland can beat Reyes, or if Immonen can beat Archer is pointless. The only opponent you really have on a pool table is yourself. Sure, there's the times where you're faced with a safety and have to make a tough kick shot. But other than those odd circumstances, you only have yourself to worry about. In a match, you shouldn't even acknowledge that there's somebody else there until you shake hands.

  • @drewfla i agree!

  • @drewfla perfectly said

  • @drewfla thats nice

  • Good point pal.

  • @drewfla Well, that sounds really deep and philosophical and all, but it's just not true. If you're in a race to 11, and someone can get there faster than you can, then they just might be better than you are. Players are not all out there just "defeating themselves." You can play your best game, but if Earl Strickland wins the first break and never lets you get to the table, congratulations, you lost to Earl Stickland, not to yourself.

  • @drewfla It's not how well you play, it's who you play well against.

  • que esto es un juego de quien pele mas bola gana ?

  • El que mete la bola 9-gana

  • What has Ronnie done in nine ball? Why does his name come up here?

  • @jskeen23 became the world champion??

  • Masterful play.

  • People around here are continually comparing apples to oranges, plus their memory appears to be short-lived. Anyone remember the year 1989? Varner won 10 (or 11?) major titles out of 14! Now, I saw him play back then. No use claiming it would have been different if Ronnie O'Sullivan had been around back then. That was back when Reyes, Siegel, Hall, Strickland, Mizerak etc. were at their best, folks! And let me add one thing, unashamedly as the pool player I am: I happen to admire Ronnie, too!

  • What's disappointing too is that none of these "Could so-and-so beat so-and-so?" discussions ever seems to be good-natured! I respect snooker, billiards, and pool players, so it's odd for me to see people get angry and bent out of shape over these "What if...?" scenarios.

  • i feel the same way...and these douchbags wont stop complaining about how 1 is better than another... sigh...

  • bereuza,

shane van boening is the best rite now no one can beat him

  • efren bata is a master of kicks!

  • God damn, that'[s some good ole shooting by them boys there.

  • And by the way... the world does not revolve around you guys! The Filipine master of kickshots is living proof of it!

  • Dokokai, Billiard Congress of America's Hall of Fame? You're hilarious! The US might have the most prominent 8/9 Ball Tournaments, but you north americans are far from the top, Reyes and Bustamante prevail on pool, ok... Strickland is also a great player perhaps the best you guys ever had but the inquestionable number one is Roonie O'Sullivan, no matter what game you challenge that man if he's got a stick he's gonna make you beg for mercy!

  • LOL. You must be kidding.

  • Reyes is getting old and Butsamante lost his edge a couple of years ago. Since then, the European players ie. Souquet, Immonen, Hohmann, Peach, have taken over. The Taiwanese have also dominated. Ronnie O' hasn't been seen in pool tournaments lately. I would probably guess he's not a great One Pocket player. IMHO all countries produce great players.

  • @lemonite1 man take Peach out of that list.....its an insult to the skill and prestige of Souquet, Immonen, and Hohmann.

  • Efren moves with such grace. I love just to watch him play.

  • bu adam seni yenebileceğini sanıyo abi yaa sen efren reyes sin oda kimmişonu ben de yenerim:DDD

  • Bill Incardona & Johnny Archer commentating this match.

  • godly cue ball control by the magician.

  • This was a great rivalry back then...

  • agreed, Varner until recent years, has a been a champion, absolutely. Reyes? well, we all know about him, Cesar Morales. lol

  • Its sad to see someone as unintelligent and racist as yourself actually appreciates the sport of pool enough to watch this video.

  • emo, go back to school, reyes is not chink, he doesnt look chink either, he look more like pacific islander, you are so fucking dumb, i bet you are the dumbiest in your school hahahaha. looooossseeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Im not responsible for this comment,I didnt write it,I dont know how it happened,my only guess is that when I was at a public terminal, someone else typed it in when I left the terminal,I didnt do it,I appreciate pool,It Fucking wasnt me!!!

  • voglio un video con solo i colpi migliori!

  • 8:46 crazy shot

  • great upload, thanks. i have a bunch of old matches on tape, from the old prime sports channel that was on direct tv 10 15 years ago. i'll burn them to dvd, and upload em. someone on ebay sells the exact matches, which prime sports is no longer in service 4 many years. announcer on prime drove me nuts, cause it when they used 2 put a regular announcer with a pro 2 announce, and the prime announcer knew absoutelly nothing about the game at all, i hate when they do that. jim rempe is a gr8anouncer

  • Nick Varner is awesome. Btw does anyone know what kind of gum he chews. maybe that will help my game

  • hahah want me to ask him today?

  • hahah i did ask him and i felt stupid but he laughed and said all kinds all kinds of gum .lol i fine it any gum is good bc it keeps you nice and wired

  • "You like pop-sickles? I've got a whole freezer full in my cellar"

    -Herbert

  • dude anyone who thinks that efren is much better than varner obviously doesnt know what the hell they are talking about varner is also in the BCA Hall of Fame

  • He is much better than Varner. When was the last time Varner won any major tournaments? Thank you very much!

  • You moron! 2 years before this match Nick Varner was inducted into the Billiard Congress of America's Hall of Fame. But Reyes is MUCH better? I don't think so. Varner is always a threat to win a tournament! Do just a little research before you make dumb blanket statements! In the year this match took place he was the Professional Billiards Tour number one ranked player!

  • Varner was the PBT number one ranked player...not Reyes!

  • lol filipinos all have wobbly stroke..even bustamante has the most wobbly stroke ever!..thats juss how us flips play

  • I have wobbly stroke. It makes it so smooth and straight when I move through the ball. No effort. When I try to keep it straight I can't help but stiffen up and lose fluidity. With a wobbly stroke it seems like the cue finds it's own way.

  • his wobbly stroke is just him lining up and keeping his stroke loose, if your stroke arm is tense your likely to jerk while stroking your final stroke...

  • all that jerkin' and strokin' wears me out!

  • juicy...that's a filipino trade (a flowery stroke)

  • the magician is out of varners league

  • yep. the magician is in his own league way above. varner sucks.

  • so dose that mean you'll spot varner the 7? or.....

  • How does reyes manage to shoot straight with such a wobbly shooting arm? How does that work?

  • did you notice that everytime when he stroks he stops for a sec and then he shoots,he cueing the cue ball to the object ball, you will see all the best pinoy players do the same thing!plus it loosen your arm !which is a big key in any cue sport!im korean but I play like pinoy..and YES it helps alot!!!I would tell you more but it was taught by the best teacher in the Philippine's !!!!!!!thank you Sammy!!hope I gave you enough info now go practice!!!lol

  • Efren Reyes The Greatest Player!

  • Great commentary by Johnny.

  • LOL - who let Herbert from Family Guy be a commentator for a pool match?

  • LOL, I've heard Johnny Archer commentating on a different match and thought the exact same thing.

  • yes thats archer

  • Simply the best!!

  • Great kick by Efren!!

  • GREAT POST!

  • Is that Archer commentating with Incardona?
