Nice video. You forgot to mention though that they had also designed a high score cartridge so people could save there high scores while playing games and a keyboard. Darn you jack tremial you killed Atari, you are a idiot and should go down in history as a total idiot, you had a golden chance and blow it. Good job dumb-ass!
Unfortunately, that's what happens when a company gets sold numerous times to many different companies. It's really a shame. There are many sad stories like this in gaming history, about much potential that was never fully realized or taken advantage of, and others that went down simply because of some huge mistakes. The Sega CD, 3DO, Atari Jaguar and Phillips CD-I are just some examples of systems that could have been today considered classics.
I am a fan of Dig Dug and I agree that this is a really good port of the game. We had quite a bit to fit in about the fall of Atari post-crash, we did most of the Console Wars commentary during the 7800 games and not the 2600 games. - Ray
dig dug is one of my all time favorites, it was a great take on the "maze" genre that allowed players to create thier own maze as they played. Who can forget that banjo tune?
Have you ever played the M*A*S*H video game?

It's funny how that commercial has that guy claiming that Atari "reinvented the video game". I'm pretty sure Nintendo earns that label!
