@aid2003 Yes I know about "Schuh" over here in England we have quite a lot of Schuh outlets, not cheap but very nice quality shoes. I only do this run on Bank Holidays, and if my wife could see all those shoes, then she would have a fit.. ha ha literally a van full of them.

If I know Im going somewhere of interest, perhaps I have never been there myself before, I will make a video in the vein of a story, with a beginning, a middle and an end to it, so you get the feel that you, yourself as a viewer, joined me on that very trip and experienced pretty much what I did on the same trip..

All good fun, least you get to see other places without leaving your chair.. ha ha

Every time I go to Cardiff they pedestrianize another street, I see the road opposite the entrance to the castle is now one, don’t you just love these towns, delivery the other week, had to get out and move table and chairs as the weather was hot they had moved them out further to the middle, but delivery vehicles still need to get through, and I was legal, but they look at you as if you’re in the wrong LOL will be in Cardiff later on this year great video

@scarletshaz Yes I noticed that too, after pulling away from the shop, I noticed the little side streets to my right were all blocked off now.

I can just imagine the looks you must have got shifting those tables and chairs... ha ha

I hate these pedestrian zones.

I got stuck in Swindon last year delivering to a building site. I should have been out by 9 but delays with the crane meant it was close on 11 before I could leave.

Had to reverse down the street for what seemed like miles. Hazard flashers, reverse alarm, two builders in hi-viz guiding me and still mothers tried to push their loved ones under my trailer wheels. F-----g nightmare!

Top little video. A good change from the motorways that we spend most of our life on.

@1958IanM I do too really, as you can see I too had a women walk across the front of me, people just seem oblivious to whats going on around them. There were Waitrose artics driving down here too, so quite busy at this hour of the day.

Worst one for me was delivering to a Carphone Warehouse in Kent on a busy Bank holiday, Pedestrianised area, middle of the day, choc-a-block with people, and I had to get to the shop front, I ended up being wafted away by a copper or else! ha ha...

@lezbriddon I shouldn't laugh, but I am. My own uncle did exactly that about a month ago, he was following a bus across some of these kinds of bollards, thought by sticking close he could pass over just like the bus!

Well you can guess what happened next, suffice to say he wrote his car off in doing so.

Personally I know they are very effective, but I don't like driving across them, always expect them to malfunction and shoot back up...

Its a great place to buy shoes, very nice gear, but also quite expensive too.

@7784Patrick Yes this is great when its first thing in the morning, no one else is around. I don't know anything about that castle Patrick, suppose I could Google it and find out that way, looks nice though as I drive past. Shame the camera doesn't see all around like our eyes can do, so much stuff is missed out because of this.

@007vauxhall Not half, I always imagine them coming back up when Im on top of them, and causing untold damage underneath my van. They certainly take no prisoners.

I saw a short clip on TV once where they drove a 7.5 ton lorry at full pelt into some just like these, the lorry was made to stop dead in its tracks, totally wrecked the truck, but the bollards still went up and down after.

Was a sales promo video for the bollards, very effective.

Yes I sure do get around, and yes I work for myself hence I have to work all hours of the day and night sometimes to keep the dosh rolling in...

This street wont be this quiet for long, only because its around 8am is it like this. The shops will be open by 9am and then the masses will flock in..

@multivan2001 Funny you should say that, about 1 month ago, my uncle wrote off his BMW car following a bus.

The bus had passed through some Bollards just like these, my uncle following the bus and up his ass, thought he could follow through too - BIG MISTAKE!!

You guessed it bollards came back up, the car stopped DEAD! in its tracks, sump smashed and engine pushed back - Insurance wrote it off as too costly to fix.

Dangerous things these bollards. Im not keen when I drive over them.
