Hello? IIRC, that's a no-wake zone due to bad bank erosion on both banks and need to preserve failing wildlife habitat. If you have to do this, please can you pick someplace that isn't a fragile environmental zone?
I ride tug wakes on my surfski. they push coal every day on the local river/lake. I rode 7 km straight today, catching wave after wave. Too bad I had to paddle all the way back to my car! :)
Boy he was really pouring on the coal for you guys. Them is some dock busting waves that would get him in trouble if he did that in the wrong place. The "Star" IIRC.
That's outrageous! Great PR for Ross Island S&G, and a great ride for all you guys! I see plenty of Tidewater barges plying the Mighty Columbia out east of the Columbia Gorge, and on calm days, these waves look totally rideable. I gotta baptise a balsa longboard I bought a few years ago & I'm thinkin out Boardman to Umatilla way.
Dude I'm doing this in the Ohio river man! Always knew this was possible!
