Wisconsin teachers make 48k a year. that is a very low salary. I live on Long Island and you would be in poverty with a salary like that. Their benefits are not excessive. Tax the rich and tax them again. That will fix it

@burnzorz, I have worked for the same company in both a union state and a "right to work" state. The diffrence was huge. I got paid over twice as much in the union state, and when the company tried to fuck me (which they did, over and over) in the right to work state I was powerless, in the union state my union had my back. Your statement could not be truer.

I live in Arizona now, at least Unions pay taxes, and make sure their fucking members are citizens. That's more than many corporations like Cisco Systems will do for high paying jobs...In fact, if you lived here you'd know they got convicted for hiring 50 illegals as programmers (a position that can net up to 100k a year) and they only got caught cause an employee reported his boss for ripping up tax forms in front of everyone else. I'm very conservative but I can compromise.

Or even kick out the federal reserve and do what the founding fathers did to pay the debt incurred by the rev war. The answer lies in a hamiltonian banking system in which credit is unleashed to do massive infrastructure projects that will spawn greater production and thus greater tax revenues. The way forward that benefits the general welfare is develope not cut.
