i went to this in hamilton, claudeland show grounds i was only little, i remember sticking $2 coins in these buckets they were passing around

i think 1991 or 1992 was the last time TVNZ did one from memory.

Then TV3 stole the telethon when they first air it in 1993 and again this year.

This was the last Telethon TVNZ did if I remember correctly. If you don't count that National Anthem music event back in 2004.
