He could actually. Both are about 5ft 9in according to sources and back b4 he grew out his hair and had those glasses he looked kinda like Freddie. If he looked like he did back then, had a unique voice similar to his, maybe a little bit more muscular, he probably could! But I hear Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, Bruno, Ali G, etc.) will be playing him in the movie. What do you think of that?
This video reminds me of a Tim Burton movie. It's black and white, quirky/moody atmospheres, hell even Freddie looks like a character you'd see in a Tim Burton movie doesn't he? Lol great song and great video too.
This video is a miracle considering that Freddie looks great but felt so awful. He had on thermals underneath his clothes because he was so cold all the time, even under the hot lights. Kudos to him for wanting to give us all the music he could while he could. Thanks Freddie and Queen.
This is amazing!!! Is it just me or does John look just a little like the Teacher in The First Harry Potter that Voldermort hitches a ride with...... LOL Think I am more then slightly mad....mad for Queen! LOL I Know... Cheesy but sooo true!!!!!
@JapJackson Ok. My one comment has apparently told you everything you need to know about my personality. I guess I am a selfish prick if you say so, since a random guy on youtube knows me better than anyone.
@TheNardDog23 I'll say it again... are you a 9 year old girl that this creeps you out? Beautiful art is not creepy and Freddie is and always will be the epitome of beautiful art. The acting, the singing, the composing will live on forever.
@Risingfromthedark I think part of that is I may have, well, I have spelled Freddie wrong, (though not Freddy, I have spelled it Fredy & Fredie) but on that note I've spelled my own name wrong, it's not that I don't care, It's that it's not always a lack of respect or whatever it can be simply I don't know, I've derailed my own train of thought here Erg, well, I hope some of that was nonsensical, sorry for wasting your time.
@Ieronymous his looks??? i think he looks good in this... not like "healthy for his condition" good, but like actually attractive. oh well, tis my opinion, i always think he's smexy even in his odd moments. and this is one of my favorite songs/videos
@MrRichardNoggin this is supposed to represent that he's going mad!!!! Remember that he was dying from AIDS right there....and my favorite was I'M A BANANA TREE!!!! :P
I lked the banana tree hat too! I also liked the giant "loose screw". This was a tongue-in-cheek video and a lot of fun. I think he faced his demons with courage and dignity and that's what he wanted his last videos to portray and to me, they did.
this is actually scaring me right now............. freddie looks like death, its depressing, and the video is a horrible idea.... count dracula , a jester, some gorilla??? wtf were they thinking here this is actually scaring me right now............. freddie looks like death, its depressing, and the video is a horrible idea.... count dracula , a jester, some gorilla??? wtf were they thinking here
@MrRichardNoggin omg, it's beautifully filmed and Freddie looks fantastic. Completely in his element with his flamboyant theatrics and make up. He seems quite relaxed in this role akin to the old black and whites of early cinema. It seems quite apropos in this day and age with vampire themes running amok. Depressing, hardly, can you not see the blatant humor?
@MrRichardNoggin some information for you about all of this...freddie didn't let the public know about his sickness until the day before he died. according to rolling stone after his death in 91 i believe the issue that came out right after his death about their last album this song was featured on called innuendo, that mercury wrote this song about the dementia that comes with the aids virus. also freddie was a massive control freak when it came to the videos and the guy had a sense of humor
@beatlephan1982 Do people with dementia realize they have dementia? To those who criticize Freddie for not going public about his illness sooner, i believe that the process of dying must be the most private and personal things you go thru in life. And doing it with dignity intact must be the most difficult. Freddie gave SO much of himself to the public.. right up to the end..let's just say thanks..AND THERE YOU HAVE IT.
@MrRichardNoggin and if you don't believe me when i say they had a sense of humor see the music vid i want to break free... seriously. while freddie was hitting for both teams, roger john and brian were straight you have to have one helluva sense of humor for that type of stuff. or hell just a night at the opera or a day at the races ( named after marx brother movies which were funny) seriously! i can't tell if you are trolling or just very stupid
this is actually scaring me right now............. freddie looks like death, its depressing, and the video is a horrible idea.... count dracula , a jester, some gorilla??? wtf were they thinking here
@MrRichardNoggin Are you a 9 year old girl that you think this is scary? It's art darling...and if you can't appreciate beautiful art...don't watch Freddie Mercury.
This takes me back to my college days the first time around and a guy in my crowd who all of a sudden slapped earphones on me a played this song for me. I couldn't stop laughing, it was so clever!
I love this song.I was lucky enough to see Queen live a few times..'77 '78 and '82...they just blew me away every time!! Pure Genius..4 Amazing Men..this group never disapointed..Freddie Mercury..perfect voice..beautiful, sexy..sweet! Brian May master of the guitar..Roger Taylor great drummer..John Deacon..loved his bass..everyone an amazing songwriter...what a perfect combination..I miss your presence Farrokh Bulsara..you were a gift..This bands music will endure..I will always be a fan!
Freddie is probably the most amazing singer to ever live. Listen to Somebody to Love, and if that doesn't show you, then I should tell you that he recorded the lead vocals for Show Must Go On in one take, after light drinking. Tell me that's not pure talent there...
@Tanskuspyro98 I think John is one of those lucky guys that just looks better with age... so distinguished and sexy. In the "making of " this video he looks particularly dashing.
Just love his face at 3:54... so natural so happy... he kept living his life till the very end! I admire that man... Freddie Mercury or Farook Bulsara YOU WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN OUR HEARTS!! God bless your soul! R.I.P.
The truth is that Mercury's voice was never better than on this album. Did he quit smoking before he died? You know anything about it? I'm asking, because I cannot find any other explenation why he sounds here this good.

yea he always did its just the short hair and the moustache kinda made it look different but if he grew his hair out and shaved he'd look the same like he does here. sadly though the next video after this which is these are the days of our lives you can clearly see the effects of aids killing him so he doesnt look like he did in this video. kinda sad really. at least he said good bye and that he still loves us in his last video
He could actually. Both are about 5ft 9in according to sources and back b4 he grew out his hair and had those glasses he looked kinda like Freddie. yea he always did its just the short hair and the moustache kinda made it look different but if he grew his hair out and shaved he'd look the same like he does here. sadly though the next video after this which is these are the days of our lives you can clearly see the effects of aids killing him so he doesnt look like he did in this video. kinda sad really. at least he said good bye and that he still loves us in his last video
