@musicchick4god I actually think it could be cut to just Ariel (maybe for audition purposes), but it is much more powerful as a duet (and even more as a quartet) :) That is just my opinion though

I haven't seen the musical yet, but I LOVE this song, and this is the first time I've heard it! Eric sounds like the type of character that my love would play; he's a great singer, and he always goes for the guy who falls in love at first sight. This song is kinda like how I feel for him; I love him, but it's my shyness, not a spell, that keeps me from telling him.

In this I think it is Kerry Butler, who was Elle Woods during the Legally Blonde workshops, a part that was later re-cast with Laura Bell. In the actual musical though, Sierra Borgess (sp?) is playing Ariel.
