At the time I used the "Corner Pin" effect in After Effects.

There was also a sort of .. 'bloated' effect I used to get the TV screen nice and rounded, and also a bit of glow and stuff.

It does wobble about a bit, but the computer I was using was way too slow for me to be bothered getting it perfect.
