  • make it available in 1080p HD

  • Oh that's what you need!!! Split Enz!!!! Good boy!!!!

  • This was one of the first albums I ever bought and I have to say these guys are timeless.

  • Ik weet niet, die met dat bananenkapsel: wat staat die daar nu eigenlijk te doen?

But for the record: a super song from the 80's

  • Mean!

  • Love this video clip, over the painting video, finale found this one :d

  • TIM > legend

  • My god...I can't believe this is now 30 years ago! ?!?! I remember it like it was yesterday....I loved the 80s! The best years of my life!

  • i love the keyboardist singing, "you can see my eyes, you can tell that i'm not lying", but he's wearing shades! LOL

  • one other thing... i've always had the biggest crush on Neil (still do, actually! lol). i just noticed how sexy Tim's mouth and dimples were in this video! hahaha the brothers Finn... talented and sexy to boot!

  • curious here... i know that Tim Finn did some harmony vocals with the Enz after Neil stepped in for lead vocals. in this video, Tim is seen singing the chorus, but i've never seen that before in any other videos. i always assumed it was Neil doing all the vocals for this song. is Tim actually doing vocals for this song?

  • @ramadarose41 Nope, right the first time! Neil has always sung lead vocals on 'I Got You'. From the time Neil joined the Enz, he sang lead vocals on all the songs he wrote/had the most input into, and Tim did the same.

  • are they lip-synching in this? This seems to sound suspiciously accurate to the studio version.

  • It's 1980 again. In 1981, i was watching Mtv, and the video for this song was played in heavy rotation. ~Time machine.

  • Go argue with yourself, you sad little man. I will block you as I can't be arsed with keyboard warriors especially when they act all tough at the other side of the world.

Go and do something useful and shag one of your many sheep you loser.

I only do nose to nose so if you ever get the balls to come to South UK please look me up.

Until then......grow up and go bother someone else...Prick!!!

  • Thanks for the invitation but why would anyone want to visit someonelike you.

  • neil finn...absolute legend

  • I love Countdown videos! Wish we had a show that good here in the USA. This is better than the actual music video released by the record company.

  • sheer classic............scotland...love it..

  • im not as old as the 80's but i heard this song on the radio and i loved it i wish i was alive in the 80's

  • @TheFilmTwins I lived in the 80s and it WAS AWESOME! You can live it now thru the vids and with old timers like me who will tell you all about it. :)

  • I survived the 80's also.....best years of my life

  • i miss the 80's man.

  • Great Song!!! Love this one..Thank You Gary

  • I love Split Enz and I've got this on video tape somewhere.

  • Awesome Song!!! Love this alot! Thanks Gary

  • Such a awesome song.

  • Very rarely a track was performed live on Countdown, AC/DC performed a few times with Bon Scott singing a live vocal over a backing track!

  • Um, sorry...but this is not a live performance!

  • No shit! You obviously didn't understand my post was a reply to urienzero's comment!

  • Funny, it was only when watching the vids YEARS later, I realise the song has sinister overtones. I only ever heard it as a straightforward lovesong - and it surprised me from SE - but I was an obsessive teen at the time and it did reflect the way I saw love. Was Neil Finn *born* writing apt lyrics?

  • "Was Neil Finn *born* writing apt lyrics?"

it seems so, and i could hate the bugger for it if i wasn't such a big fan!

  • 1980 was this kind of mood all over. Martha and the Muffins 'Echo Beach' was in the same vein, remember?

  • yes, you can certainly tell it's lipsynched, still quality stuff :)

  • This video is so much darker, you really cannot see Neil's facial expressions like in the other MTV video.

  • wow nice video uplaod this must be one of those rare live footages of SE. this song brings back so many fun memmories when i was a kid and will b one of those songs that i would cherrish 4 eva. i always thought these guys were an american band but then was surprized to learn they were freshies from New Zealand!! lol....good old NZ, these guys definately represent NZ well, too bad most of us aussies think they their a true blue aussie band!! whateva, they r totally a true blue kiwi band.

  • It's lipsynched, but still cool footage, thanks.

  • @Aforementioned All Countdown Performances were.
