I saw a "Schoolhouse Rock" tape released by ABC in 1995. The previews had, among others, a trailer for "The Brady Bunch Movie", an Anti-Drug PSA, and a preview of the 1995 ABC Saturday Morning lineup. That last preview used the "Get With The Program" slogan, so it may have been used for kids programs only.
This ID looks great. The newer ones do not look good. Although I did not see the 1990s IDs until recently, they still look better to me than the newer IDs.
I have to disagree; this is from my video tape of the broadcast debut of "Gremlins 2: The New Batch" from early 1994. ABC's slogan for the 1993-94 season was "Watched By More People Than Any Other Network", as evidenced in the ID. Though technically not recorded from 1993, it is from the 1993-94 season. = )
Oh okay. I honestly thought this music and series of IDs were used during the 1995-1996 (the only time I remember it being around), but now I know it was actually used earlier than that. Sorry about that. Thanks. =)
ABC is quite shitty now, I will agree. Unfortunately though, their "estrogen overload" strategy seems to be working, as they are a strong #2, or #3 if American Idol is on Fox. This poor taste causes me great concern for this nation's future, seriously.
Home Improvement was the #1 Show of the 93-94 season, so their claim was true
