I think it would have been funny if he was there (still arm and leg-less) when they were handing out presents and he got Vahki arms and legs to replace the ones cut off.
Don't kow if Kalmah is dead because in the Holy Grail the Black Knight didn't die I think and bioman472 based it on the Black Knight scene so don't think he died.
