I actually enjoyed the story line of Lois and Clark & how the characters interacted with each other (mainly L and C but also their coworkers at the daily planet) more than the appearance of Superman in the action scenes.

I adore the 90's and this show - my personal favorite Superman adaptation. Dean Cain is definitely the most handsome Clark ever. Teri Hatcher shines here and her haircut was epic. Also Tracy Scoggins's Cat should've been in more seasons. Very nice & entertaining series. I loved many TV shows in the 90's - this one, Acapulco H.E.A.T., The X Files, La Femme Nikita, Melrose Place, Spy Game, RoboCop The Series, L.A.Heat, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Pretender, Babylon 5, SeaQuest, MK Conquest, Amazon, Lexx

Ahh, the 90s Superman. You know I thought Dean Cain was a serviceable TV Superman, I mean he was OK in the role, but in no way can he compare to Christopher Reeve or even Brandon Routh. Even Tom Welling is better, and as of this writing he has yet to wear the traditional cape and suit.

I always thought the S'ville characters were miscast...Chloe should have been Lana...the Lana actress could have been a juvenile Lois but I like the current one better. S'ville's teen Lana just didn't have what I thought the original comic book Lana had...humor..a sense of adventure..courage, etc. Things that Chloe exhibited. I like the current Lois even better as a Lana Lang. I'm just glad the Lana actress is gone from the show. I know some will disagree...but IMO and I'm sticking to it.

i have the dvds of this and i love the love story of Lois and Clark. this had the best Superman story. i watched this when i was 15 or 14 and in this Lois and Clark got married and lived happyly ever after and to me this will always be the proper virsion of Superman and the proper Lois and Clark love story

No offense but you must be on crack. Theres absolutely no way we could have done some of the CGI in movies today back in the 90's. Nothing on Lois & Clark compares to to the Airplane scene in Superman Returns! NOTHING!

You can't really compare "Lois and Clark" and "Smallville" because:

1) "Lois and Clark" is a Superman series while Smallville is a pre-Superman series.

2) "Lois and Clark" was more of a romantic comedy/action adventure series, while Smallville is a more sci-fi/action/soap opera series.

But I love both shows, they're great!

I love and own all of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Bruce Timm's DC Animated Universe (Batman The Animated Series/Superman The Animated Series/ Batman Beyond/Justice League/Justice League Unlimited), and Smallville. Of course I do love the Superman and Batman movies! Even the DC Universe Original Animated Movies!

Chris and Dean were playing completely different versions of the character, so you can't compare them. They were both definitive.
