Ugh. Why do people have to be so hateful toward someone who is obviously talented. Sure, she has drug and alcohol issues, but her music style and lyrics are fed by those issues and are what made her so succesful.
Leave her to do what she knows how to do, and I am sure she will change her lifestyle when and if she wants to. Until then, all the hatred will only perpetuate her need for substances.

That reaction to her winning is priceless and obviously genuine. Most artists go to these award shows and expect to win, they put on a fake shock face and pretend to be real. Amy obviously is real. People need to get over the fact that she does drugs, it really isn't important and to be honest, if she never touched drugs then where would she be. Back to Black wouldn't even exist, as an album.

All I meant was that the album wouldn't be as dark and powerful without all her trauma and troubles in life. She certainly wouldn't have wrote one of my favourite songs, Addicted. The drugs are in her personal life and she shouldn't be judged solely on her addiction but on her talent. This is all I meant by it

She is not the only talented female and is second rate to others renouned globally. Certain artists believe that they can capitalize on their egregious acts by temporarily manipulating the media for their own additional gain, while others are naturally lucrative without the need for such.

I see your point: She is a natural drug addict who can get through a whole performance on many occassions, and her fans indicate that many of the shows are good: but, she is devoid of concern and discipline in her regular every day living to make amends for her egregious acts and to better herself as an upstanding personality in the eyes of the public. If she can work hard towards her stage performances, I believe, that she can, in the like, succeed as a person off the stage.
