There was musicality, just not that of funk oriented popping.. although.. that wasn't funk music playing, was it? Jrock's round were incredible, but to me he actually didn't match the music as much... the beat, yes, but the music. I see why MW won, and I also see how you can say he lost. interesting battle.

well im pretty sure this was break atlanta 2004... the decision went with the crowd... If Jrock didnt say nething at the begining he would have had a better chance of winning... I thought overall he danced better but oh wellz..
if you're a popper, you have to be familiar with 'planet rock'. the reason why mike was so effective in this battle was because dude has battled to the track b4. see legend v. mike watson...better battle and different style.
everybody has their own style. mike watts may seem as though he's not poppin' at times, but that's his style (just like jrock has his own style of boogaloo). if you want to win battles, you have to 'crowd please'...mike watson is a 'crowd pleasa'. he knows his music, and uses it to his advantage.
