Perfection. There are lots of superb versions of this wondrous tune,( I especially like Sinatra's with Riddle) but this is my MOST favorite: Nat's solo, Oscar's guitar...Nat really feels this ..And.. it is so precise and lean and original. You are very appreciated for sharing it with us, Catman.

What would you call this genre specifically if it was performed instumentally by an orchestra? If I just type 'jazz' into the search I get all sorts of poppy, jumpy, up-tempo stuff that I don't like.

I agree, hunterrae. This was one of the Gershwin's greatest compositions, along with "Someone To watch Over Me." Nat King Cole was one of the finest male singers of the 20th Century.
