It was also her first film role as Juliet Hulme in Heavenly Creatures at the age of 17 that got her first critical acclaim ( Best Actress at the Toronto Film Festival shared with her HC co-star Melanie Lynskey ) and got her majorly noticed in the British film community and Hollywood .
