i would buy in a heart beat if the minifigures were normal, most of these characters can be made in regular lego espescialy the hair so i dont get why they did what they did with the figures.

I'm a guy, and I'd buy the set for my city layout. They don't make restaurants, veterinarians, and other unique buildings for City as they do with Friends. I'm gonna buy a few of these, and probably keep the figures packed away in their boxes since I would be using the cafe for my regular minifigs. The pieces alone are worth buying this set. Lots of new colors make it pretty nice. This set would really come in handy if you build custom LEGO houses.

Honestly, I really liked this review. I'm an 18-year-old guy, so I wouldn't buy this set, but I've seen commercials for these often, and I liked hearing what a female has to say. And I certainly would not mind seeing more of these reviewed. They're really new and different for Lego, which is a bold move, and I can see why they would get some backlash, but it's the 21st century. Lego is just trying to expand its fanbase, and its target audience. What's wrong with that?

Perhaps for connecting the two plates together, you can take the most boring character in the series and use her to connect the seats outside to the cafe! That way it won't look junky either!

It's a bit lazy how they could have simply added one length of fence and connect the two baseplates together. Or at least give you that option by adding an extra white fence piece.

It is a cute diversion from the more technical based Lego themes. Kind of like a modern Polly Pocket thing. It has its place, through not with me through I do like the articulation with the figures more than the traditional brick heads

I don't like these sets, and not because they are for girls, but because they postponed the LEGO Star Wars sets to release these, and that really makes me angry because, in all honesty these sets are only good for the pieces (even the girl community thinks these sets stereotypes girls).

I like the review, the good points about the set, especially the accesories, Im an afol too, and did not put so many attention to dishes or stuff like that because you have a castle guy here, but overall the review helped me to see more things I miss passed away.

And also enjoy the presence of Heather and her perspective view of the sets, she should be on more episodes.

Finally I just wish the boxes to be a little more smaller so shipping won´t be a problem.

My three girls love playing with lego. Now, with "friends", they are excited to get the all the accessories,new colored bricks, new figures, etc. They also play with polly pocket and littlest pet shop. Lego did a great job on this! Also, Heather is a great addition to the show!

i am a girl and honestly i don't like these sets very much, cause i prefer standard City ones.
