Si', ma in un film americano 'The rose Tattoe' girato in inglese..la Loren e' stata la prima a vincerlo per un film italiano , parlato in italiano..dopo di lei quasi a 50 anni di distanza la seconda e' stata Marion Cotillard per 'La vie en rose' in francese....tutte le altre solo ad esclusivmente in inglese
@Lilli079 non credo a fatto che sia stata sopravvalutata secondo me ognuna a modo suo è una attrice che ha dato qualcosa al cinma italiano, ma la loren vanta una lista innumerevoli di films che l' hanno resa celebre in tutto il mondo

Sophia says she didn't sleep the whole night and she's very excited because it's the first time an Italian actress wins with an Italian movie. Then it's all about the movie, the novel it's based on, the director and the shooting (hard work, hopes and worldwide success).

I hope the academy reads this and think about this.
I really wish that actresses Marion Cotillard and
Sophia Loren will present the award for Best Foreign
Language Film come 82nd Academy Awards. They are the
only two actresses to have won an Oscar for films
made in a language other than English so it is just
very fitting if they will show there and consequently
present the Oscar statuette.
