  • shit is scary with headphones, i cant play on regular speakers cuz it would bother my room mates but yeah its messed with headphones

  • xD You've made me remember when I was playing Oblivion with my friend and it was my first play through and I got attacked by an invisible Black Bear at night time (in game and out) and we had so much adrenaline when trying to kill it.

I know Morrowind and Oblivion can be jumpy games sometimes but when me and my friend were really getting into the game and that happened, my heart was trembling in excitement and fear O_O

  • I usually don't do the Kvatch quest in the Main Storyline until im finished most Side Quests so that way I can run around explorin and stuff and then when im almost all done I finish side quests but leave the Shivering Isles and Nights of the Nine for last cuz I find it interesting enough to keep me playin

  • Have you ever considered using a script? Try to summarize what you want to say before hitting the "rec" button... Otherwise it feels like walking in circles before you get to say something interesting (which you say in the end).

Just trying to make you improve ;)

  • Just a quick note on your vids please turn the skyrim music down, it makes it very hard to hear you and what you have to say

  • @crazymammoth I can hear him perfectly fine even with the music on

  • i noticed tht dragon movement too, and i wuz like WTF.

it looked like it was climbing "air-steps"

  • it is 250 dungeons the 150 are hand made

  • Oblivion was kinda scary when you played on max difficulty it can be really terrifying when there is lots of enemies or strong enemies and you are low on health or magica. Those were the most thrilling situations.

  • MAN you like to talk!! But I like what you say.

  • never got surprised in oblivion the music always told me there were bad guys near by

  • I do they all side mission then explore then the main qeust

  • you must have sucked at oblivion then buddy

  • you know this guys going to be a redgard

  • lol Havin that sayd

  • If you think about it, most games are released on Tuesdays right? Bethesda, however, decided to do so on a friday. I don't know what I'm getting at, it's just teasing me how it could have been released tomorrow but I have to endure for a few more days.

  • I'd have to say most of my "OH SHIT!" moments have been in Fallout: 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. I believe there's going to be some sort of fundamental flavor added to Skyrim just from Bethesda growing.

  • yes but instead of a wolf it the eater of the world O_O

  • in fallout3 i did the side quests first and didnt finish the actual story until longgggg after. in new vegas i focused more on the main story and did some side quests at the same time as well. in oblivion.. well im still playing that. i just started a new game because my last game, i had no idea what was going on and i was just fucking around.

  • @4Skyrim Do u think that we'll be able to Ressurrect our Companions? I think so. If u respond, I'll tell u why.

  • @dupree82 I thought setting it up as a mini-quest to ressurrect your companion would be pretty cool but that could get old quick, and the quests would probably all be the same. I definitely don't like the fallout way of the companion just being unconscious.

  • To play true survival horror - and play games like Oblivion realistically - you have to turn the music off and install some sound effect mods!

You think it's scary at night in the woods? Try it without any battle music starting up to clue you in your in danger!

  • I totally am for the survival aspect being added to the game.

I have never played a game with a FOOD/HUNGER aspect that I didnt enjoy, it adds a CONSTANT challenge to games that seems realistic, simple, and fun, without acting like a chore.

I THINK BETHESDA SHOULD CONSIDER ADDING THE *HARDCORE* MODE INTO SKYRIM.

(Like the one in Fallout New Vegas.)

Have they even thought about bringing it into Skyrim?

  • @Koops2245 your the first person i have seen that thinks the same as i do , i have been asking around the internet about this alot , and no one seems to care , i totally agree with you that hardcore mode adds alot of survival feeling and realism to the gameplay , i still hope they they will add this !

  • Every achievement in Oblivion except Duke of Mania. 60 hours with a Dunmer, 40 with a redguard, about 10 with an Altmer. Enjoyed every minute of it.

  • Alot of shit scared me in oblivion, but I'm a pussy. The Dark Brotherhood guy (Lucien?) scared me, The wrath of sithis scared me, Those demonic priest in the oblivion plane scared me, That demon jailer with the fucked up voice from my first trip in the oblivion planes scared. Even tht Dunmer lady tht gives u the note for the thieves guild scared the shit outta me when I fast traveled. I hate tht damn 1st person time stop camera zoom shit. Oh AND rats... Huge rats r fuckin scary.

  • yall should really check out G4tv.com there is new videos out on skyrim gameplay and city life. It confirms DECAPITATIONS and VAMPIRISM. In the video that is 11 minutes it shows an exicution old school style with a axe. Seriously check it out!

  • I heard a rumor Bethesda is trying to get mods on ps3 and 360. Has anyone heard if they're going to actually do that?

  • @DanTheMan51632 Decided it was too hard so now it's not happening, although Bethesda may take some small mods and convert them for console.

  • @HardWarUK that's okay, with how big this game is I don't think I'd even use a mod for at least a year if not more. But we've always got the DLC to look forward to not to mention Skyrim comes out in 4 days.

  • NPC's can do finishing moves, I have played the game and someone did a finishing move on me and killed me. Also incase any one is wondering I played it at eurogamer expo.

  • does anyone know what they used to make the concept art at 0.45? some is digital but is the rest pencil or ink ? or is it all digital art and what program wud they most likely use?

  • also may i say the reason your only running into imps and wolfs is because your only level 5 i guess? from that onwards to level 25, your gunna find things a lot more scary...

  • You know they should start your character out skinny but you can make them muscular or fat, or boney but that would be cool your work and progress go into your characters look.

  • @H20Poison i dont want to play fable. please dont ask for fable

  • @H20Poison so...fable...

  • The way the dunmer look now i picture them in black light armor in a corner in a tavern with its feet on the table spinning a knife just being shady..in my opinion no class looks better to b an assasin

  • yo i love ur vids theyre so addicting. love ur accent too. cant wait for your skyrim LP ^_^

  • I really believe that the game has potential for survival horror. As an avid player of Oblivion as well as a masochist for difficult challenges, I play it in a certain way as well as play certain mods that make the game just so damn hard. I even make it so that my characters are weak in combat and magic. When playing like this, running into a room of enemies can make me cry. All a survival horror game needs is a lack of power and a strong resent to die. With that most things become scary.

  • It absolutely has a potential to be a survival horror. In oblivion, the music in the caves is so eerie. At higher levels you will most likely run into trolls or ogres in a cave. the music and one of those things scared the crap out of me almost every day.

  • playing without music is like watching a horror movie without the sound, not scary at all.

  • your over hype its just a game man i know its going to be great but its a game i cant wait for it to come out hopefully it meets expectations it will but i dont think it will go beyond expectations but thats just one mans opinion to me its just a realistic oblivion on steroids of course it has much more like creatures, land, customization, spells and weapons and more quests what the hell am i saying this game is greatness truly a gaming revolution im under hype

  • Hah, I hear the trailer in the background xD.

  • I would say its more of a Survival Fantasy Horror.

  • yea horror, oblivion seems peaceful like heaven, where skyrim seem seem like the darker side of elder scrolls like hell

  • Thanx 4 the head phone tip I'm going to save up for the Logitech G330 headset now... Thanx

  • Awesome Voice!

  • Wow, looks like Skyrim will have some women in it. Not Morrowind/Oblivion trannies.

  • I'm not sure where the 250 dungeons came from, because I always heard a figure of either 130 or 150. There might be a total of 250 "points of interest," which is a term I heard Todd Howard use numerous times...

  • what really sucks is this game comes out when i write exams ... im ganna fail those exams

  • for Quakcon the giant fell right and the dragon few realisticly.

  • Fast travel is a boring way to spoil the game. Because you miss so much of the game.

  • I fucking hated oblivion gates, personally I think they ruined the game.

  • @CopperVibez I agree with you on that. Way too many gates. The first few made their point, but then it became tedious and they zapped my interest to go forward. I never finished the game... The dragons is Skyrim have been compared to the gates, but I don't think they will become a nuisance since their encounters will be more dynamic.

  • Ya I saw how the dragon flew fake after he dropped the giant but also the giant looked fake how he fell. Hopefully the fixed that

  • i just wanted to let you know i found a glitch for being in daylight as a vampire in oblivion wear the dark brotherhood oufit in in an arena fight in daylight. youll get disqualfiyed but you can walk about in the day light.

  • @MrMadRussian1991 is it a pc glitch? or ps3/xbox?

  • @ShingenTakedaa i have a ps3 but im not sure if it works on pc or xbox

  • @MrMadRussian1991 ohhhh i have a ps3 too!

  • @MrMadRussian1991 or just find that ring that gives 100% fire protection i forget what is called or where to get it but thats what i always did

  • Damn im gonna break my leg 10.11.11 ^^

  • even oblivion made me jump now and again so skyrim will defo scare me cos the entire environment is way way more sinister. Games that make me jump are always the best because when I finish playing I reflect on what happened and it makes me realise how crazy it was.

  • i cant wait for this game im not goint to have a life for a year

  • i think the picture in the bottom right corner of solitude concept art is a giant archway like a gate without any doors not a cave

  • the first time i found the death claw valley thing i new vegas i almost shit my pants xp

  • what program do you use to record your screen?

  • Just imagine if you are walking along and see the shadow of a dragon pass over you from behind. Or at night and you see its large silhouette (nearby) go across one of the moons.

  • Subscribed. I love your videos/commentary. Many LOL moments too.

Sounds like you play TES similar to how I do.

    See you on the Forums.

    Mithrys

  • skyrim will never be as scary as minecraft! that shit is scary as fuck!

  • The great part of the Elder Scrolls series to me personally is that it never really ends in my eyes. When the main quest is over, it's just one chapter of the game that is over, but there's so much more to go do

  • Great video. Adding on to the realism factor, I hear it will be possible to fade out the crosshair, compass, health and magic bars, etc... This will make it feel more like you are in the game, especially with those surround sound head phones.

  • @Flippinbert3 u mean those hd head phones lol

  • I think you got the wrong quote from Pete. In the context, the 250 was referring to overall places of content, which may or may have more than the 150 dungeons they promised.

  • congratz dude. Honestly saw the 30 minutes and thought I would maybe watch 5 minutes or so, but I ended up watching the whole thing. Subbed and liked. Keep the videos coming! like I said, this is your first video i've ever seen, but are you planning on doing a Let's Play for Skyrim?

  • u can run through the gates and not enter them as long as u dont click on the oblivion gate you wont enter it

  • when skyrim comes out you should make a video of 2 dragons fighting like the summon dragon and a random wild dragon fighting

  • one month left...

  • they are already done the game and are making DLC's

  • What's the track that plays at 10 minutes?

  • OMFG CREEPY! I've been in that Cave in Thailand! WTF

  • Hey man I think your a true immersive player like me man. I hate fast travel bc I agree with exactly what your saying that it takes the fun out of it. I never used cheats on any games cause its no fun, just like fast traveling or putting the difficulty on easy you strip the game of all fun. I use turtle beaches the px11 model and the sound is great, I can't wait for Skyrim man!! 11/11/11!!

  • just a survial game not a survial/horror

  • can you die when you don't eat

  • Hey man, what happened to your last vid?

  • wow i think we know what a cave looks like...

  • i use HD headphones... sennheiser HD650s :)

  • Whats more fun to play as... A nord warrior or a dunmer assasin?

  • @emann537 I promise you that you cant go wrong with either one lol

  • @4Skyrim he really enjoy ur vids man...i think the slide show idea is cool

  • @4Skyrim damn i have never thought of Dunmer as assasins, i have always thought of them as Spellswords

  • @emann537

Nord first, then Dunmer. That way youll feel more like "The chosen one" :D Atleast thats how ill play it...

  • @emann537 i'm goin for a nord assassin that can go full on warrior. can't wait

  • @emann537 i would prefer Argonian assassin, this new graphics makes the argonians look like fucking dragons!

  • so about your thoughts on the sound of skyrim, i think boobietraps would be something to jump to

  • I never fast traveled, I just walked everywhere and did every side quest I came across on my paths of the main quest. xD

  • @ChibliCraft i really wished they would take that fast travel crap away and do it more like morrowind, like in the magic guilds you could teleport here and there. feels better. cant wait anywho :)

  • @RedDevilPride12 So when did coop with friends disappoint people? Its a good way to get friends into TES, MMO Would ruin everything, COOP will make more people love it also who said it forces you to play coop? If you have something to say about what makes millions of people go out get friends and play with each other (LOL) Then don't put your two cents in

  • not a big fan of fast travel either. but i heard on a skyrim related youtube vid that fasttravel will cost a lil bit of gold. which will push me to not use it, tho i intend to not touch fast travel through at minimum my first full playthrough of skyrim. SO pumped. 1 month tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah brah I get what your saying it is possible for Skyrim to be a Survival horror game due to the revamped graphics and unpredictable weather patterns as well as te intense creatures which can be found all througout skyrim, agree with you brah.

  • certanly, skyrim, and oblivion, have the potential to be a servivel horror game. sevral times it has scared the crap out of me in a situation lake the one you explained in this vidio.

  • @MrPackstein Races still have abilities.

Also he has a point about the survival horror aspect. The dragons will hunt your ass down. Sometimes in packs.

  • Subbed bro <3

  • youve got your brightness real low m8 =D i can see easily in the dark at oblivion.

  • @InflamedLight And thats how it should be, not so dark that I cant see nothing though.

  • I normally play all of the content in a single play through, but I do have 4 possible character builds in mind, with names and everything already decided, so I don't know if I'm going to do what I normally do, or if I will reserve certain content for subsequent playthroughs. However, I do always leave most of the main quest for the end of my playthrough, and I expect to do the same this time.

  • Fuck that man Im gonna be an everything! haha just like a Battle warrior maging archer

  • This game is going to have soo much woooow factor i was just chillin thinkin....bethesda have put a FREAKIN "predator food chain" in the game....what more is der to say!!!....just imaging playin SKYRIM and u see this for the 1st time....in the day or night...........FLAWLESS

  • hey dude what's the link to your site?

  • let me paint a picture: You see an npc throw another to his knees, then stab him in-between the colar bone throught to the heart and as you see that you aim your bow zoom in and hit the npc in the heart with your arrow and he falls to the ground and his sword is left in the other dead npcs body :D thad be amazing

  • The animation issues should be solved at least in part. The video in question was from E3 and was an early alpha build of the game according to Todd Howard. The issues you bring up about jagged and jumpy animations ought to be fixed either by lunch or soon after in patches.

  • mm, 11 years later and the elder scrolls hair still dosnt look good to me.

  • @4Skyrim When will the next skyrim character build video be on your channel?

  • it would be cool if wolves hunt you down at night. also if you do decide to sleep in the woods at night, while time is passing, it wakes you up in the middle being attacked by wolves or something. that would make it even more realistic.

  • @xManicZ1 stuff like that already happens in arena daggerfall and morrowind but they removed it in oblivion

  • 4Skyrim your videos are awesome dont stop making them. i love just siting back and listening to your skyrim sessions.

  • I really like the concept art where its on a mountain ruin that kinda looks like bleak falls barrow and there is a guy with some wolves and a giant hole. when i see that hole i think of so many cool things like if that was in the game and you jumped down it like gandalf and the balrog and landed in a flooded cave kinda like the picture you showed and imagine its really dark and there are low ceilings then you see a cave entrance with spider webs covering it and there is a dim light behind it.

  • I also hope that skyrim will take advantage of puzzles in the game because i love games where you have to think, like in oblivion where you have to press certain buttons and levers. I hope bethesda brings that to the next level and makes more different and create puzzle throughout the dungeons and the world. I really liked in the 30 minute demo when there is a door puzzle with a code of ancient symbols and you have to look at the golden claw in your inventory to find the code. That was cool.

  • I totally agree with there being a survival horror aspect to skyrim. For example in the demo when todds just walking along in bleak falls barrow and its dark and quiet then suddenly the draugr start emerging from the walls and surround him. I think that kind of stuff is awesome because at those moments you dont have a lot of time to think about the situation you just have to survive and i think that will be a really cool aspect to be able to experience in skyrim.

  • Well, I wan't you to look at the giant. When the dragon drops him, he's falling without any animation - he's not waving his arms and legs, screaming in terror and sh..... himself, he looks like a statue that was dropped from on high. Unfortunately I think it's too late for any of this to change. The game is out in a month, at this stage it's about distribution, not developement.

  • @AlphaLegionAstartes Have you seen the size of the dragon's claws and feet? It probably crushed and killed him as it picked him up.

  • @4Skyrim how much was the headset

  • I like to explore every inch of the game. Fight, take my time.

  • i could answer so many questions about skyrim, i work at gamestop and my job is to research games and recommend them. Skyrim is already my favorite game and i spend hours out of everyday searching for new things

  • Yeah I agree with survival horror. And about the whole beating the game first and ruining your experience. I've had oblivion since the day it came out right, but I barely beat the main quest line 3 months ago lol. It's not like I never played it. It's just that I was having too much with all the other things. I actually hated beating oblivion cause I felt the same way. It felt like I was done with it and didn't need to play it anymore. But all in all a Great oblivion experience

  • Man I had got all the achievements with one character and my brother broke my hardrive

  • lol nvm i hear it in the back. Thanks for the info! keep it up bro!

  • lol hey bro can you play some music in the background when u talk? just so theres a vibe and its not so bleek

  • @kiriderz theres oblivion music playing almost constantley in the background setting...

  • hahahha but great idea!

  • survival horror game i dont look at it that game actuallly i kinda do?

    but the game should not

  • fallout is shit skyrim is the big bang of bethesda yea baby

  • I never even finished Oblivion haha I had several character builds, but it was so much fun just exploring and doing side quests..

  • your totally right about fast travel, it ruins the game

  • I think other than the dragons, everything looked very fluid. I think the dragons looked great on the ground, but terrible in the air. Their wings looked... stiff.

The way I played Morrowind: Bloodmoon (that's what drew me to the game), main quest +various quests, Tribunal. I still play, but NOW I think I would make a new character, I hope to do the end of the main quest last in Skyrim.

  • I think you're right, but you're only seeing part of it. In actuality, YOU are experiencing the game as a survival horror game because of how you play it. The beauty of Bethesda games is that they allow the player to direct the experience. So if you play more aggressively, you can confront enemies before they sneak up on you

  • OH I totally friggin agree about the survival horror aspect of it all.

I can barely go explore ruins, caves, dungeons or whatever else in Oblivion because im too scared of them.

Skyrim will take it to a whole entirely new level of realism and depth to actually make me piss my self. (Especially the giant spiders)

  • after i get a pet dragon im going to kill everyone with it

  • quest* (meaning seek out guides and information)..sorry for the confusion

  • Another thing is to NOT quest and try to find out everything about the game, the second you look at a guide...and the second you look up help. well the game isn't enjoyable. Recently I played oblivion and I did appriciate the game but it wasn't fun because I knew EVERYTHING about the game fowards and back, and wasn't that fun. So I ran around for a hour and that was it. So thus why you strive to play the game and get lost without knowing anything. :) makes the game a million times better!

  • Well you know what? You know why we all enjoyed Pokemon and like Oblivion?....Because we could get lost in the game, we didn't have a plan!!!!

but you see as we get older, we get more ...well...we start to have a plan! and I think what we need to do is relax and not think about any plan. just play the game ya know? Sure ill have a hard time not planning anything, but I am just going to play like the first day I started Oblivion! :D a new fresh game

  • marine story on avp2 is survival horror :) and recently i've been playing red dead redemption and if you get stuck out at night with no dead eye and a pack of wolves coming after you, you run your ass outa there!

  • What I liked doing in oblivion was just to explore the world and once I was finished that I usually did some side missions and then the factions and the main story last because it makes the climax of the game much more exciting because the world seems to have more depth when the game is done and after the main story I just go to different dungeons and try to get everything maxed out on my character and do side quests and any dungeons I come across. The game feels alot longer this way

  • hell yeah skyrim could be a survival horror game. there have been plenty of times i was scared shitless from stuff that happened in oblivion and fallout

  • Bro there's skeletons, undead and vampires in Oblivion :P

  • I like to do a couple of side missions and then I jump on to the main quest.I go back and forward between the 2.

  • can u do a video where you analyze the new screenshots plz?

  • 250 dungeons that would be cool i would go to them alot mroe than what i would inn oblivion cause in oblivion there wasnt musch to see nothing really knew same texture in all caves same enemies but in skyrim i do believe they made alot if diffrence between dungeons hopefully they would be alot funner to explore and sneak around and learn new dragon words or whatever they were callled i just cant waint for skyrim once it comes out my outside life will end forever till another elder scrolls releas

  • @TheMartialartsJedi yeah thanks anyway i was just wondering if he said out special is all thanks :)

  • Comment removed

  • this guy sound like he comes form the hood

  • The cave idea is awesome dude ! :)

  • bethesda is probably tuning alot of shit before release i think todd said they were paying extra attention to the fans and feedback besides it was only a demo they just through the game at ppl unpolished i think

  • @MechaShredZilla if so than i cant wait for the game!

  • @ConfeshunzzZ same here pre ordered the colletors edition

  • @MechaShredZilla u could preorder diffrent editions or just the collectors edition

  • @ConfeshunzzZ yeah I pre ordered the collectors edition

  • i for one do side quests right when i leave tutorial. i am not done with oblivion yet

  • Few things:

1st: I hope they have a more advanced "hardcore" mode in this game. One a little more advanced than in Fallout: New Vegas. I think it would add an even more realistic effect to the game.

2nd: I seriously never got bored of Oblivion until i saw how fucking incredible this game and gameplay looks.

3rd: Multiplayer for this game would be extremely stupid, but I think an online arena would be kind of cool.

  • @RedDevilPride12 Multiplayer is definetly not going to be in Skyrim. I'm sure if there was multiplayer, achievements for it would also be in the game, which they are not.

  • @RedDevilPride12 Sorry, but Um. Follow up:

1st: There is no hardcore mode. Sadly.

    2nd: I agree.

3rd: I agree and disagree, I would want two player co-op not MMO.
