This may be my thoughts and stupidity but I think each doctor's personality (meaning each regeneration) is compatible with certain companions in terms of love interest. Though because the ninth doctor and the tenth doctor both keep Rose as a companion makes her compatible with both while number eleven is compatible with River alone.

Wasn´t Amy in one episode with David Tennant when he was the doctor? I think the episode was named The fires of pompeii... She was one of the "sisters" :D It´s wierd becouse Martha (Tannants "companion" after Rose) was also in one episode before she was his "companion" - but in that episode she died. "Martha" was in the episodes with the "ghosts"(who really was cybermen but still... It was in that episode Rose went to the pararel world with her mum and dad if anyone remember...)

This video was as good as "Let's Kill Hitler". Only Tennat could have pulled off the "what is it now?" bit. Well, okay, Eccleston probably could have. And, erm, and Pertwee.... And possibly Tom Baker- OH BUT NOT MATT SMITH. 11 is brilliant and has finally sunk in for me as a worthy successro, but he had some mega-sized shoes to fill. With this video, you can see just how much different the two are. As for Amy, well, she's great. I always thought she felt slightly like a younger, Scottish Donna.

If you're familiar with The Valeyard from the old series - the master describes him as the personification of all that was dark in the doctor. To see Metacrisis number 10 assume the role of the Valeyard from the old series and face off against 9 and 11 would also be epic, cept Tennat would be a bad guy.

Even though 11 is my favorite Doctor, and Amy is my favorite companion, I think Amy and 10 would fit much better together. I've seen the new trailer and there are going to be more Weeping Angels, so what I'd like to happen is the angels send Amy to the past and she meets the 10th Doctor and they travel together for a while. But eventually Amy knows she has to go back to Rory because she's incomplete without him, and 10 and 11 meet up and Amy goes back to Rory and 11. That would be awesome.
