I totally remember this as being the first major "One Life" story that I was actually old enough to follow, process, and UNDERSTAND. I was 9. This Nikki Smith was so demure and lady-like compared to the versions we've seen in later years - I remember kind of being shocked at the loud, brassy, gum-cracking harlot version, LOL!
