  • I'm a little confused. What happened to Las Vegas and why is it New Vegas? Why did they completely rebuild Las Vegas?

  • @nukebomby100 Only parts of New Vegas still exist, but Hoover dam still functions and can thus provide power.

  • 0:19 what the hell ive never seen victor with that face ._.

  • Question, what armor type is of the guy on the box art has?

  • @ZetaProductionz NCR Ranger Combat Armor

  • Fallout:London,or another major city in europe.

  • @thatrussianguy12 Yeah... Fallout is always in America. The reason being that the factions we all know and love are there. That, and the fact that Europe wasn't nuked in the Fallout universe, it just devolved into squabbling feudal states.

  • @NamelocTheBard @thatrussianguy12 Umm, the world was nuked in the Fallout universe. The REAL reason why Fallout hasn't taken place place outside of the US is because it would ruin the Retro 50s American culture that this series is built upon.

  • Fallout Chicago. They've done the east coast then they went west coast now they need the Midwest plus I live in Chicago I wanna know how it would look nuked

  • @vashfan19 they already did the midwest and showed Chicago... -.-'

  • @WorldsMostWated Ah i see they did show a nuked Chicago and you are right in saying that the Midwest was portrayed in a game but that game was Fallout Tactics most of which isn't considered canon. A Chicago in a Fallout 3 style would be much better

  • @vashfan19 Tactics is canon...not to Bethesda but the real creators it is...and people who played the originals consider it canon...

  • @WorldsMostWated That's true ive never played tactics. I have played Fallout 1 and 2 though

  • I betcha these will be the graphics for Fallout 4!

  • why can people just not accept eachothers oppionions

  • When I saw this trailer before, I used to think the gameplay was like that... too bad it's still the Fallout 3 engine... still the game's good...

  • plsss make fallout new york

  • Victor was a pretty cool robot. Oh well.

House had to die. New Vegas is mine.

  • holy crap who thinks that dragon age is better?

Get off that f**kin dragon crap and get hooked Jet baby!

  • Wow, didn't that trailer make everyone of us believe FONV would have awesome graphics and/or cutscenes?

  • @ajdaniels Are you braindead by an chance, sir?

  • I'm the owner of Las Vegas :D

  • Fallout + Mass Effect = EPIC

  • he sure took his sweet time digging you out the grave :/

  • Stop the hate. Fallout is great and so is Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights, etc. I'll admit though, of all those, the Fallout and Mass Effect series remain my all-time favorites! :)

  • I love that armor even though its not the toughest armor but its still badass

  • This game has a story which makes it worth of playing! I think everyone shoud have a look at this game.

  • Why isn't their any Rock-N-roll in the fallout universe, I know their trying to do a 40-50's'esque cultural vibe, isn't fucking Elvis part of that too?

  • @Obasiliasfilosofos Ever hear of The Kings.

  • Victors' angry face scared the shit out of me.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't see why victor doesn't grab the courier by the legs.

  • @enclave4ever

Yeah that would be a little more effective probably.

And seeing your name, I would put a good Brotherhood of Steel qoute here. However I am to tired to remember what their memo is.

  • wait so Victor the robot was digging me up that slow? he just do grain by grain, How did i surrvie that?

  • @CODWAL12DEN magics?

  • @CODWAL12DEN

    By being seriously badass.

  • @CODWAL12DEN Yeah it's almost frustrating how slow Victor is doing it.

  • "Hey everybody! This is Three Dog! AHHHWOOOOO! Coming to you loud and proud from Galaxy News Radio!"

  • Lol, now that I watch it again, I realize that's what happens when you die!

  • i wanna meet that guy that rambles on and on "war never changes" on every fallout intro. i didnt believe there was a way of saying the same phrase in so many different ways.

damn, it's still catchy tho :P

  • @bozaki87 it's:

" "War, War never Changes"-Phrase, never Changes"

  • victor ftw

  • this is the only cool song in new vegas sadly all of the others werent as good as i thought fallout 3 had the best

  • @StealthyMuffin420 its goin 2 be 4eva id hate 2 be the courier

  • @StealthyMuffin420 Lol, now i finally understand the trailer, and finally realized hes intentionally digging the grave, before i had the game i thought he was just scavanging, and that the NCR ranger is an enclave soldier or something...

  • I. This game, regardless of the size of Vegas, completely kicks ass. This is one of my favorite games due to the scope of your choices. Do you want to help the NCR conquer the Mojave? Help the Slaver Organization Caesar's Legion in ruling the Mojave? Help the mysterious Mr. House rule Vegas with you as his right hand man (or woman)? Or rule all of the Mojave and Vegas yourself with an iron fist yourself? We decide on the future of an entire region. That's what I love about this game!

  • @TrollDemon yeah, it's the best RPG in fucking ages. No you idiotic Bioware tards, Dragon Age is nothing to this gem.

  • @Herbstgespenst Bioware IS a good game developer sure this game was good but Mass effect and Nights of the old republic had better story.

  • Victor's a stalker. XD

Yet awesome at the same time....

    Hmm....Such a troublesome contradiction.

  • Victor FTW

  • i see, i will miss GNR

  • i really like the story line of being shot in the head nd buried alive nd to have a robot find u :p the game shall be awesome

nd that NCR armor looks badass

I know the first thing im gonna do, find that armor :D

  • @br21STARS1996 man you just spoiled my game :c

  • @MaDMaRk4Life FYI, what br21stars said is like the first thing you learn in the game. (aka it's not a spoil)

  • @br21STARS1996 yeah the NCR looks a lot better than they did in Fallout 2 8P

  • i'm currently playing fallout tactics, its on of th best games i have ever played.would i like fallout3?

  • That guy must be evil. How do I know? He is wearing a black trench coat.

  • @Mehow80 new California republic? or those canadian assholes

  • "war never changes" it's what he says in the very first and last cutscenes of fallout 3

  • @RocamolaCompany Which was taken from the original Fallout games.

  • fallout 3's opening:classical music bieng played whil the camerea zooms out, then begins playing more dramatic music then shows a character from the game looking away from the camera, then then they dramaticly look at the camera.

fallout new vegas debut trailer:classical music bieng played whil the camerea zooms out, then begins playing more dramatic music then shows a character from the game looking away from the camera, then then they dramaticly look at the camera.

    fail

  • @bigz50man

that's kinda the point of the entire fallout series: a juxtaposition of the real past we have to the fictional future of the game

  • @bigz50man actually, it's not classical music, it's called jazz. granted, it is big band jazz which had its peak in the 20's, 30's, and 40's, but classical music=Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Wagner, etc. and that music had its hey-day in the 1800's to the 1900's.

  • It was done intentionally to reference the opening of FO3...

  • @Sparrow476 every Fallout game did that. Did you even play the originals?

  • @BlazerT10 Wrong. In the opening of the first game it zooms out to simply show a tv among rubble, revealing no life whatsoever and with no change to more dramatic music until it cuts to the slideshow. In fallout 2 it follows this pattern even less by using the eventual zoom out in a completely different manner by showing the enclave opening Vault 13. You question whether I played the originals yet don't recall them correctly yourself. Amusing.

  • @Sparrow476 well I guess your right but Fallout 1 did do that, and I do recall Fallout 2 doing the same as well.

  • @bigz50man That was obviously done on purpose. Also you don't know what classical music is do you?

  • @bigz50man

your really a douchebag huh? that's the Fallout world set on the 50's they're not gonna have metal/hip-hop going in the back round cause those types of music weren't around then and btw, it's not classical music you idiot put Fallout is one of the wanted game out there so shut it, and enjoy playing it if not then STFU

  • @femalesuspect Wow you talk a lot of shit.

  • @bigz50man every fallout game did that -_- Fallout 3 copied the intro from the first game. Fail on your part.

  • Isn't the hand supposed to be part of the main character?

  • @mikedamat

yeah you got shot then buried alive for a package you were carrying for Primm (I think that's his name) and Victor (the robot) digs you out and your journey starts as the Courier

  • you can customize your weapons in new Vegas ..... can't wait

  • Hmmm... Look like Securibots aren't good diggers...

Oh man, I seriously hope I can fix my gaming computer before it comes out...

  • out of curiosity how many people here have actually played the pc version vs the 360 one b/c most of the complaints I see on the comments about fallout 3 were fixed by mods so assuming not many.

  • my god why are all the fallout trailers so fucking epic

  • this game looks SO MUCH BETTER. and it's gonna win GOTY. and the soundtrack is nice! and it should be longer.

  • @useage Of course it'll win, the only thing critics flawed with FO3 was the combat was trying, and failing, to be like a FPS. Obsidian has gone to great lengths to remove much of the RPG elements from combat and make it more fluid.

  • @Sparrow476 I'm doubting that Obsidian are trying to remove RPG elements, after all, RPG is their specialty. Do you have a reference?

  • @HeadphoneHalo What I mean is that with iron sights combat is no longer purely stat-based and will play out more like a standard shooter than FO3 did. I should have worded it differently though, because they're not really removing any of the RPG elements, just focusing on them less.

  • @Sparrow476 Oh, I see.

Also, if you're implying that the "war never changes" is meant as a reference to FO3, then you're wrong. It is actually FO3 that is referencing Fallout 1 and 2's respective openings. You should play them, they're a lot better than Fallout 3.

  • @HeadphoneHalo No I meant that the visual sequence is a reference to FO3's opening, I know the dialogue is from the originals. And I have played all the games, with the exception of Brotherhood of Steel, and I agree they are better for the most part.

  • @Sparrow476

most FO & FO2 fans are not quite happy with the whole story line in FO3 cause you realise some story's were from FO, FO2 & FO Tactics and it didn't really feel like a Fallout game

  • @femalesuspect exactly. Fallout 3 was just an injustice for the series. But a good game by itself.

  • @babaganush00 yes a fail like mw2 think about it so many people loved mw1 so they thought it wil be so amazing you narna thats why it sold so many copies thats why i bought halo wars because everyone sed its good so i bought it then i played it then it was rubbish

    also @kevinohisamazing

Yepp i was guna post a link but like you know it dosnt let me m8

  • In terms of story telling, I don't see Fallout: New Vegas surpassing it's predecessors, 1 & 2. Even Fallout 3 managed to fuck up when it nearly interesting. :< I guess that's just the limitations one deals with while making games in full-on 3D. Shame.

  • @TheReconnect

and maybe cause most of the ppl who worked on FO & FO 2 were fired awhile ago before FO 3

  • War... War never changes..

  • The story will continue some parts of the Fallout and Fallout 2 stories not to the one in Fallout 3.Fallout: New Vegas will take place in 2280, 3 years after the events of Fallout 3 and 39 years after Fallout 2, making this installment set the farthest in the series. The player will play as a courier delivering a package to Primm, who was left to die in a shallow grave, rescued by a TV Robot named Victor, and patched up by a Doctor Mitchell.

  • @UKCHEATER Copy and pasted from the Fallout Wikia, well done!

  • @kevinohisamazing Lol, I was about to say the same thing.

  • it wont be as good as it is "meant" to be but its going to be a great game hopefully it isn't a fail like MW2 was to cod 4 but errm im really exited and defo buying this games when it is released and if it doesn't have multi-player im going to sue :D

thats a lot of info to take in tbf im having a stroke rite now :D

  • @UKCHEATER a fail like mw2? i dont see how a game that sells that many copies is a fail. just because you dont like the game doesnt mean its a fail. sure there are things they changed that shouldnt have been changed like making some of the secondary weapons overpowered such as shotguns. the commando perk was also a stupid idea, but overall the pro perks and the variety of killstreaks as well as plenty of new guns make it a huge leap from cod4 and a better game. mw3 will be the fail.

  • I hope they made the '' Ferals'' and ghouls more ugly and scary :)

  • I like the new music for this one. The music for the Fallout 3 got old really fast.

I havn;t got tired of this song yet.

  • War...war never changes....and neither does my catchphrase...

  • @IAMTHEDECIEVER you mean your mgs4 catchphrase.

  • @Zwank36 ???

  • @IAMTHEDECIEVER That is why it is a catchphrase dipshit.

  • @IAMTHEDECIEVER Why should it? It fucking owns!

  • @GamerAddict7796 I never said that it should change, I just said that it never does. Im never going to stop catching shit for this : I

  • @IAMTHEDECIEVER Well according to Solid Snake, " War.....has changed."

  • @IAMTHEDECIEVER because bethesda... bethesda never changes....

  • holy crap, now im definately buying a new xbox

  • it's funny how much like the fallout 3 trailer this is

  • CLAPTRAP?! What are you doing there? Youre not even a fallout character get out of there, you belong to BORDERLANDS!

  • CLAPTRAP?! What are you doing there? Youre not even a fallout character get out of there, you belong to BORDERLAND!

  • I can't wait any longer, I've completed every mission marked/unmarked, explored every location, killed every last raider, enclave soldier, super mutant I can find. I've tried tons and tons of mods....I have completely satisfied my entertainment needs with Fallout 3......I need New Vegas. Its my Fallout New Vegas, AND I NEED IT NOW!

  • I'm greatly looking forward to this. The fact that Vegas is illuminated and the Californian flag behind the bloke in the trench-coat make me curious. I'm a little bit apprehensive about the change of developer though - I would hate for it to turn into a mindless boring fps.

  • I've been jonesing for a current-generation successor to the first two Fallouts. I hope it lives up to it, too.

  • i just hope that the gun skins and sounds will be better in this one

  • @Gamerdude4496 yea and i hope there will be and aiming down the sights option

also,i hope the sniper scope will be more realistic :/

  • @Sevival The Fallout wiki says that when in real-time combat (not vats) you will be able to look down the iron sights rather than just zooming in a bit. And you can modify your guns with attachments like extended magazines and other cool shit.

  • @tomisthetitts then i'm definately buying this :)

  • @Sevival Already reserved the collector's edition.

  • This trailer makes sense. I read this from the Fallout wiki "The player will play as a courier, who was left to die in a shallow grave, rescued by a TV Robot named Victor, and patched up by a Doctor Mitchell. "

  • Fallout the best game ever and i've played alot of games

  • @XxBabboonxX .... Dude, Its a teaser trailer

  • Fallout 3 is my favorite game of all time. If this is better I might have a brain aneurysm and die.

  • Is this game from the makers of original Fallout (1 &2)?

    (I didn't liked F3.)

  • Man, Fallout 3 was good, this game has better graphics and you can customize weapons, so it might be better, if thats possible.

  • I think i just jizzed

  • i think it will look like a well build city and stuff butt probably also crawling with super mutants or deathclaws, or i don't know, i know, it looks great en i cant wait to play

  • when!!!:(

  • there betterbe free play after u beat this one cuz that is what relay pissed me off about fallout 3

  • i

    can't

    WAIIIIIT.

even though i never completed fallout 3, it was one of my favorite games.

  • can't wait. just got my Fallout 3 platinum trophy

  • Interplay/Obsidian better not fuck this up.

  • all locations explored. all quests finished. all dlc completed.

    ready for new vegas :D

  • @Likemypie99 Same.. Whats your gameplay hours?

My.. I think it was 126 hours :D

  • @Likemypie99 Dude. Player-made mods. There's enough user-created content out there to last for 10 full vanilla FO3 playthroughs :D

  • @Likemypie99

Amen to that brother ;) same here

  • some actual city, finally

  • @cataxo444 Because DC isn't a real city, right?

  • @zachj589 i meant as in, buildings, the only building that i actually see in f3 is the tenpenny.

  • @cataxo444 Oh, you mean like a city that actually still has people in it and isn't deserted?

  • @zachj589 exactly, in fallout 3 there is only deserted buildings etc. none of which constructed.

  • @zachj589 I assume he meant 'actual city' as in, a relatively functional, populated (as in, more than a dozen people and a lot of dust), intact, lighted, and isn't mostly destroyed and desolated.

I know the whole 'all cities are bombed out and ruined' thing is a big and important part of post apocalyptic settings, but it'll be interesting to see how an actual, FUNCTIONAL major city will fit in the Fallout world.

  • I just wish they fix that horrible animation glitch from Oblivion / FO3 engine.

Try walking sideways and see for yourself... stiff hip and clumsy legs.

  • Final Fantasy 13 does not stack up even slightly to Fallout 3, and will definitely not stack up to this game. Don't compare cotton to velvet and satin! lol

This looks disgustingly nasty, and I mean that in the good way. I damn near squealed when I saw the New California Republic flag and the dude wearing the NCR Ranger armor. This game will be epic!

  • i did squeal. you're a stronger person than i.

  • The Helghan have come to Earth! lol, this looks really promising though.

  • If it is half as good as Fallout3, I will buy it because Fallout 3 was a great game.

  • @ozturkbe Obsidian Entertainment is making it, Bethesda is just publishing it. It's bound to be good. Why? Because Obsidian Entertainment is made up at least 70% of people who were in Black Isle. And who in turn became Troika, which also disbanded - so now they're back together (more of them). With a bit of luck they'll turn out a game with as good a storyline and possibilities for RP as Fallout 1 & 2 with the action, openess and graphics of Fallout 3.

  • @ozturkbe

    lolno

  • @ozturkbe Fallout 3 became my favorite game after playing it for like 1hr, and I hate FPSs, but this game is the most deserving GotY.

  • @ozturkbe the bad thing is you guys think fallout 3 was great( and frankly it was :D) but you haven't experienced the true fallout atmosphere of fallout and especially fallout 2 ! those games were unbeatable! i have played fallout 2 again and again for the past 10 years and it never gets old! i'm just sorry that black isle disbanded and they didn't continue making fallout the way it should have been made :(

  • @ozturkbe Exactly what I thought... Fallout 3 is SO GOOD that the very idea of someone topping that game feels impossible, but I hope they can!

  • @Deathshuck Of course they can top the Fallout 3, because lots of the original development team at Black Isle is helping this time around.

  • it's not sick, it's awesome.

  • fuck all of you this game is sick

  • Who knew robots from 2280 like Frank Sinatra xD

  • Yeah steam's sort-of good but Games for Windows-LIVE is good but Console games are good too

  • I can tell there is some old fallout references >_>

(COUGH New California Republic flag COUGH COUGH COUGH)

  • steam also have classic games

  • That person the robot (named Victor) is digging up is you in New Vegas. You are caring an important package to sum one when you were attack (I think by the new California republic, pictured at the end of the trailer) Victor brings u to doc Mitchum who heals you to the best of his abilities and gives you a ten mil. pistol a vault 21 suit and a pip boy 3000 then sends you on your way to a town called Goodsprings. Part of the game will focus on finding the package and who attacked u. Source: OXM

  • THANK GOD! Finally someone else read the OXM and isnt asking retarded questions.

  • You'd think people would at least look it up.

  • @malachiteR+Asparaln

SHUT UP! they use not only the same game engine but this game is basically a moded version of 3. everyone who's spent 5 minutes reading about it knows it. now stop arguing...

  • The Chairman of The Board is going to be in New Vegas? This game is going to be awesome!

  • i hope it will be FPS another time....

  • better be enclave or wannimagos :D

  • hope there's none, moral ambiguity is what fallout is all about and the enclave are pretty much pure evil. and besides they've been beaten. twice actually when they pulled them back for 3.

as for wanamingos, they are in FO3, but only if you have a PC :)

i'm gunning for something like NCR, caesars legion and the BOS fighting for the city and its really looking like that.

  • yh that will be more fallouty as well enclave was a bit annoying

  • this is a full blown game not a FO3 expansion

  • Who is Caesar's legion? The guys who are fighting the ncr or new californian republic? They sound like a bunch of slavers and also why are there redneck supermitants in the game? And the transvestite supermumant tabatha what the hell! Check out psm3 march 2010 for more details on new Vegas

  • Excellent! A new Fallout by the original Black Isle guys? Tremendous!

I hope this will be more like the old ones and less like the trashy piece of crap Fallout 3 is! :D

  • Little note: I actually enjoyed that "piece of crap" MUCH more than the older Fallout titles... maybe something to do with being open world, sandbox styled, with less cumbersome math calculation/skill rolls/AP-for-movement-along-hexagons mumbo jumbo and more action, places to see, things to do, story threads? Fine with me if you don't like FPS'es, but Fallout 3, IMHO, was a huge step forward.

To mirror your reasoning, I find Van Buren a slow, boring piece of crap.

  • @Evrain64

On the contrary - I like FPSs very much, but don't like the fact they changed my beloved Fallout universe into an FPS, pretty much dumping everything that was so good in the first two - namely, the deep story and character customization. F3 didn't really feel like an RPG anymore, but more of a pure FPS. That's why I put my hopes so high on this one - this can be actually a good COMBINATION of an RPG and an FPS.

  • Pardon my rude answer, then :) Apparently, we both know what we want. And I'm confident Bethesda and Obsidian will deliver.

I still preciously own both original Fallouts, but I have to admit the transition to FPS and all the little touches Bethesda added really surpass what Black Isle did in terms of imagery: you can be clad in Tesla Armor with an Alien Blaster in your hands and still feel that:

    1. the map is TOO big

    2. the world is at its end, engulfed in nuclear flames

  • @AsparaIn RPGs are by definition a ROLE PLAYING GAME. Where you PLAY A ROLE. lol. Meaning you play a character and that character develops, usually via decisions and skillsets. FPS games are simply first person SHOOTERS. And yet there was a lot more you could do than shooting. Melee and unarmed skills, anyone? It was more an RPG than an FPS.

  • dude..fallout 3 was great...what are u talking about?

  • @birdsteel23

Was a good FPS perhaps, but wasn't good as a Fallout.

  • only with, no joke, about 30 mods, discounting graphical enhancements, higher resolution texture packs, higher quality/realistic sounds, and .ini tweets.

  • The old Fallouts, 13-14 years old, have many Mods that some are still under work and played.

Name thy point, good sir :)
