I wish someone could name me a few bands that make (or made) music like the early nine inch nails, I'm talking about this nine inch nails and the nine inch nails of broken and further down the spiral. You know, this mix of metal/alternative rock and industrial with the same groove and rithm and powerful melody. Rammstein is the only thing that comes close (sometimes). Most rock bands that identify themselves as industrial, that I know of, are just noisy and bland.
i play this song when im evil in video games... nine inch nails is REVOLUTIONARY to music... i listen to alot of global music, and even underground metal like 1349 and absu... but im telling you, nine inch nails trent reznor is the most musical person in the past 20 years (im not fighting with the 80's bands lol)
I am drinking a Four Loko and listening to "Down In It" by Nine Inch Nails! What a LETHAL combination! It should be called Five Loko! Get it? No seriously, isn't it cool that this track/album is finally on iTunes, so we can legally obtain it, go to the gym and listen to it on our earphones while we get ripped?
This is one of my fave albums ever, along with Skinny Puppy ViViSect VI, Nitzer Ebb Showtime, Depeche Mode Violator, and MY life with the thrill kill kults Confessions of a knife.
i dont condone drug use im clean off the hard shit now. but this song when youre on ecstacy or heroin or any kind of psychedelic is insane same with the whole album
people will remember nin as the classical toccata fugue of that period. it will be like the organ works of bach to the people of the future. that is..... if there is a future
@pAressITE rapping is a totally different genre than nin, trent has talent i love nin and all kinds of music especially rap, and some rappers have a lotta talent, but your comparing apples to oranges, comment fail.
The first NIN song i ever heard was head like a hole and i really loved that song and i thought "i wonder who this is?" but i never found out until about a year ago when i heard Only on the radio and went on the internet found out about NIN and was like holy shit! I never knew it but I FUCKING LOVE THIS BAND!!! even though its pretty much all trent reznor. he is a musical genius! comparable to Kurt Cobain in my eyes.
Listening to this song for the first time in about a decade, and it's just not aged. Reznor is a genius. I believe he's a major contributor to this period of musical evolution.
@destructorbeam While I admit that this song did have much influence from "Dig It", this song in my opinion is far superior. Trent Reznor took the original idea of the song from "Dig It" but he improved it as well.
nine inch nails has been a driving force in my life, i have been a fan for about 13 years now, i even got the NIN logo tattooed on the back of my neck. Nails has been there for me, the music is a language that has dictated and guided me through the many developmental stages of my life. Not to mention, this is my favorite song by nails. I dont care who doesnt like like them, i like them, and thats all that matters to me =)
your both stupid. If you didnt know: Trent reznor recorded many of the songs that were in pretty hate machine during his spare time at work-he was a custodian for a recording studio. Kind of doesn't matter-but I like the idea. Anyways-this song is one of the five that made this man a millionare. So, lets see you be a dj with volume-maybe you'll get some money...or you'll get booed for being a prick :D
