  • I just started a raw food diet and juicing. I am doing a juice fast soon and had some questions. I wanted to juice all my produce and store the juice in mason jars and keep it in the refridgerator for a few days so that when I'm hungry I can just grab a juice. So my question is will the juice be completley dead or will it still have the nutrients I need? I plan on doing enough juice for two days at a time is that ok?

  • When i have no food, i fast. So instead of calling it hunger or starvation. I call it simply fasting. But i wouldn't fast more than a day. Your system should have enough rest during sleep which is WHYpeople should NOT eat before going to bed. Fast a few hours before sleeping.

  • Though fasting is good for most people, some of the 'facts' this lady throws around are complete bullshit. Digestive issues are NOT the reason why people are dealing with chronic health conditions. That is a huge lie and not something you should be saying when you're promoting a way to heal your body. Is fasting going to heal congenital heart disease? Is fasting going to heal asthma? The list of chronic conditions that fasting will do nothing for goes on and on. Saying what you said is dangerous

  • @Suki278 : Um...yeah, fasting would be great for asthma. Asthma is most likely caused by consumption of dairy in those with immune systems already compromised. You say it's "dangerous," but I will bet that you take asthma meds. LOL

  • @lemurianchick I don't even have asthma and I don't take any medications. I do have congenital heart disease, for which fasting will do absolutely nothing for. On the contrary, it could kill me and millions of other people with CHD, which is why this video pisses me off. If I didn't know better I might think fasting could at least improve my condition, but it certainly would not. A lot of people with CHD barely know anything about their problem, so they would fall for this chick's advice.

  • @Suki278 : She is talking about dis-eases which CAN be improved. Use your common sense. Oh and by the way? SHE had the same heart defect as you. Go look up some past videos and you'll see all the challenges she has had in the past. Most dis-eases (about 96%) are caused by US. Either our diet, environment, and/or lifestyle (including what we think). Doctors are woefully ignorant about the true cause of all dis-ease: TOXEMIA! But you act like they know what the hell they're talking about.

Saying 'I have CHD' is like saying 'I have cancer' in that there are sooo many different types, so obviously YOU don't know what YOU'RE talking about. And she says 'chronic health conditions,' she does not specify chronic conditions that can be improved. I do think that fasting is an excellent thing for SOME people to do, though.

  • When you deprive your body of things like, sleep, water and food, your mind and body taps into reserves you never knew you had, a primeval instinct of survival that we evolved on, remember we use to have to run our food down for days at a time, just like African tribes are still doing today, it forces you to sense, be in touch with life more, with reality.

    (or if you're a religious type you can try to think of it some other way).

    I feel more alive and focused on the 3rd day without sleep.

  • glad you're not a big fan of the master cleanse. jj virgin talks about how many popular cleanses (such as the master cleanse) are dangerous because, though while cleansing we need EXTRA nutrients & protein, many of the cleanses out there eliminate those things. on top of that the master cleanse has all that sugar. her advice makes me think your mono-fruit cleanse could be dangerous too. another gentle cleanse: simpler food-combining (great guidelines in the book: healing with whole foods).

  • @jojojurassic77 It only happens when you eat meat. I have fasted for 5 days at most, then every time I would eat meat, I would get sick. The best thing to do when breaking a fast is to drink juice. I would recommend you do that for 1 whole day, and then the next day try to eat something light. Keep eating light food until your body is able to handle stronger solids like meat.

  • I really appreciate your videos, they have been so helpful and encouraging in my transition of beginning to eat healthier, and hopefully in time, transferring to a totally raw food diet. When a person is brought up eating a lot of junk foods, its hard to even know where to start and how to prepare a balanced weekly menu and finding recipes to include a good variety from day to day. So thanks again for sharing all your knowledge and also the great recipes!

  • In my opinion, finding the diet your body was designed for and eating like that all the time is the best thing anyone could do! We all thrive on different foods, different ratios of carbs to fat. Find your balance, avoid irritants, and you don't need to "cleanse"

    I think perfecting your digestion is what everyone should focus on. Correcting dysbiosis, and healing the gut lining.

  • @madelinesosa1881 Hi can I suggest drinking 4 to 5 glasses of water first thing in the morning and eat juicy fruits after 45 mins. Body holds on to the fat because of acid environment. If you eat alkalizing foods like leafy greens and other vegetables and fruits fat would melt away. I would also suggest a book by dr Robert Young called PH miracle for weight loss.

  • @pinker90 The blood type diet is what started me on my way toward a vegetarian diet. I'm blood type A+ and was gaining weight on the Atkins diet, which is supposed to be more suited for type O's. But when I started eating what the blood type diet said for type A, the weight started coming off quick. I never have been able to drink orange juice, it's like drinking battery acid to me. And sure enough the blood type diet listed orange juice as one I should avoid.

  • I have a question I tried a juice feast over a year ago and only lasted three days( I wanted to do 90) however, every day around three pm I got really shaky and scared (signs of hypoglycemia) I have PCOS and am wondering if it's a blood sugar issue or did I do something wrong?

  • I've been on raw foods for about a month now... with a day of juice-fast in between here and there. And I seem to have almost stopped digesting my food.

    Plus, losing a lot of weight, starting to look scarily thin, and I'm getting sort of panicked.

    But I have no plans of quitting, I'm sticking with it because I feel major positive changes.

    But my digestion should pick up, not decline, shouldn't it?
