The Labour party had us in 165 Bn debt BEFORE the financial crisis arose. Our welfare state under Labour costs more that the country earns in income tax. The 'Liberal Democrat' party are untested in financial affairs but they are very much PRO-liberty. The conservatives here are better at financial management but lie somewhere between Labour and the Liberals on personal freedom.
We now have a Conservative Liberal alliance government.

Really? Hahahahah! For a start you can't quote the distortions, selective reporting and downright lies of the right wing press and present them as fact...
Labour suck, sure - but bowing down to the billionaire media moguls and tax evaders Cameron represents - No Thanks!
"For a start you can't quote the distortions, selective reporting and downright lies of the right wing press".
Wake up and smell the coffee. The headlines are from all sorts of media. You surely can't be saying that the Mirror, Guardian, Independant and the BBC are 'right wing' can you?
Bowing to media moguls? the moguls have allowed ridiculous stories, often spun by Labour, to cover the front pages while important news regarding the erosion of our liberties were burried.
David Lloyd George, when He was good He was great, when He was bad, well...
A terrific quote from John Maynard Keynes,
"half-human visitor to our age from the hag-ridden magic and enchanted woods of Celtic antiquity"
I like that, I like that a lot.
As for nailing my colours to a mast, I have no colours to nail. I don't vote based on the hue of a rosette. I watch how they vote in the Commons and the Lords, I just wish more people did the same.
Sadly, it seems that whichever way you vote, hung parliament or not, we're going to end up with either Labour or the Tories back in power. Again. Woop-de-doo.
Here's something for everyone as depressed by this as I am: a lament for our crap electoral system, using the power of dodgy rhymes, sarcasm, stupid jokes, and a faintly daft hat. Search Youtube for "Alternative Election Message".
I dont see how Conservatives are going to solve any of these problems. Cameron seems as dodgy, even worse, than Brown. And i wont vote of Lib Dem. Those idiots want to scrap the Trident. Seriously??
I don't have any love for labour, but it's fairly clear this vid was produced or paid for by the conservative party- a video editing whizz who is a concerned voter might knock something like this up for fun, but it would take the party press office with its research interns and records of anti-labour headlines to pull together the 'sources'. I really dislike it when something with an agenda is cast as being impartial :-/
Sorry old bean, there is no money involved here, nor have I any affiliation with any political party. The key here is authoritarianism, we've had thirteen years of it, time to turn back the clock.
ps Research is easy, finding the time to bring it all together is the difficult bit.
@MrDLGeorge ~ Great video, I believed in Tony Blair before I found out he was a crook. Politician's are masters at lying, no wonder people are disillusioned with politics. Before you accuse MrDLGeorge of political bias, please do this thing called 'reading,' its what you do to learn about people. Sorry for the condecending tone I'm allergic to ignorance. Great vid!
We used to have 6 independent regulators to regulate the different divisions of the financial services industry, including our Banks. (Margaret Thatcher knew what the Banks were like and in the 1988 Finance Act she bound the Banks up in regulation to prevent them from being reckless!!!).
Then Gordon Brown became Chancellor on 6th May 1997
The banks then said "We want all these regulators to go, we don't want regulators watching everything we do"
So, Gordon announced on the 20th May 1997 (2 weeks after becoming Chancellor) that the six regulatory bodies would be broken up and a new Financial Services Authority would replace them. The FSA had virtually no powers over the Banks and he also took away the powers from the Bank of England to enforce regulation on them.
Labour are just a bunch of commie wankers and traitors that have allowed this country to be swamped with immigrants and asylum seekers.

Who's arguing?
I was repeating genuine headlines made by a broad spectrum of political media.

Agree with rhymeswithmonet.
Anyone could do this for any party from news headlines so what ? I won't be voting labour either, but Mr DLGeorge claiming to be impartial ?!
Why do you have ONE video and choose the name of the last Liberal leader of Britain. Do you think we're simple ?
ffs, you might even be a tory, pretending to be a liberal, but too scared to pin your colours to the mast - pathetic.

How dare you Sir !
I know MrDLGeorge and suggestion he indulges in voting Conservative or even worse - working for a living - is a foul slur on his good name.
