  • I enjoy learning by you. What I would like to learn is How to read a Pattern, would you or could you give a demostration on how to read a Pattern step by step maybe from a hat or scarf pattern, Thanks & Happy Hoildays & a Merry Christmas to come.

  • @HarleyMoonRider

go slowly when reading a pattern. mark each step with a pencil as you progress. you can do this. happy knitting. please like me on facebook.

  • My pattern wants me to increase at the beginning and end of a purl row. The first stitch. :-(

  • @MissLeigh78

I always increase on the 2nd stitch in and the 2nd from the end. It make for a cleaner edge.

    thanks for the nice comment.

  • I did that and I made a hole!

  • do it again....and again. practice makes perfect. keep trying.

  • Exactly! That's why I don't like the make one method. Knitting (or purling) into the front and back of the stitch causes an unsightly lump. Is there an invisible way?

  • "There is a harder way to do this -- and I'll show you that some other time."

That wry little ending brought a big LOL out of me. You're so cute, Judy, and no offense, but I think I'll pass on the harder way. I'm doing just fine with the easy way, thank you.

Seriously, thank you. You make exceptional knitting videos that often inspire me right into another needle/yarn project.

    Cheers. : )

  • Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I taught myself to knit and your tutorials help me so much!
