  • 9/14/91 series premiere: NBC sitcom “Nurses” had Actor Kip Gilman as Dr. Hank Kaplan the day San Diego Aztecs RB RONNIE HILLman was born—the day of sport coupe inaugural drives. Gilman played LYle Carver on “Fade Away” ep. of CBS drama “Without A Trace”, which had Eugene Jones III as Harold Roberts in a high school basketball/student rape story line. Eugene Jones III as Harold Roberts in the episode is unrelated to fruit sales or “fruit” as a pejorative for gays. Unrelated: 100 between 707 & 807

  • Reminds me of Hank 'the bank" Gathers. God, 21 years ago now. God bless Wes and 1990 Loyola.

  • This kid died a hero off the court also! I never new wes leonard, but I saw this story and got my son checked. He is also a high school athlete. A simple ekg found a murmur in my sons heart. This story educated me and may have saved my sons life. Rip wes leonard!!

  • People this isn't a joke anymore. Step up, take control of your body. Think about people like Wes, a good friend of mine, and others dead and gone and those facing the issue like myself. We may not have a chance, but you all still do...

Get your exercise, Ride a bike, go for jogs. Enjoy natures beauty while helping yourself with simple cardiovascular prevention techniques. It's time to be aware of what we face here on earth. Those taken now, are taken for a reason. Only god himself can judge u.

  • You know, I guess now I can slightly relate to this situation.

Only 1 day ago, I was diagnosed with a enlarged heart, issues with my liver, and I guess a bacterial virus in my intestines. I'm only 29 years old. I have been the best friend I could possibly be to all those around me. Always putting myself aside to help someone else in need. Even when I felt I didn't have much to offer.

Now I am scared... beyond recognition...If this goes sour, I will see this man in the afterlife. God Speed!!

  • At least Wes can be a star on the Casketball team now....zing!

  • RIP Wes....my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. we know he was very happy at the moment that he died....

  • my thoughts are with him and his family, but it makes you feel a bit better to know he died doing what he loved.

  • I lost my 18 year old sister 2 years ago in a car accident... the pain is unbearable. My prayers are with his family and friends. RIP

  • 21 years to the day, after the late, great, hank gathers... r.i.p.

  • truly a shame. can't imagine what his family is going through.

  • I'm 41 years old and live in a small town in northern lower Michigan, not to far away from Wes's hometown. I didn't know him, but he sounded like a phenomenal athlete and a great kid all around. I've already had the chance to experience most of the things in life I've wanted to do. I would trade my life to bring him back if I could. I truly mean that as God as my witness. He had so much more to accomplish and see on this earth.

  • Words cannot describe...may God help his family process this loss

  • Extremely sad, Im very sorry for everyones loss.

  • Rest in peace, buddy.

  • this is unreal

  • what a terrible shame... God bless him and the family...
