I was a 2006 director who could upload unlimited... but in 2007, it went away. As far as I know, I'm the ONLY one who had this happen. Kinda sucks but it sort of helped me in terms of how many views I got, now that the limit is 15:30 thats more than enough for me.

Bandwith is also not an issue. The reason they restrict everyone to 10 minutes is for more advertisement. Less time on videos means more videos being uploaded. It's a business matter, not a technical one.
